We had an outstanding experience working with VizX Design Studios, and Duane in particular.
From our first conversation, Duane was attentive, responsive, and genuinely invested in helping us create the best possible design for our home. He took our ideas and transformed them into a plan that not only fits our house perfectly but is even more beautiful than we had imagined.
One of the things we appreciated most was how quickly he responded to questions and how helpful he was throughout the entire process. His communication was excellent, and he made what could have been a stressful experience feel easy and enjoyable.
The final design flows seamlessly with the existing architecture of our home while adding a level of style and elegance that exceeded our expectations. It’s clear that Duane has a great eye for design and a real talent for creating spaces that are both functional and beautiful.
We highly recommend VizX Design Studios to anyone looking for exceptional design work. Thank you, Duane, for helping us bring our vision to life!

Thank you so much for the incredible review. It was truly a pleasure working with you guys throughout the design process.
Projects like yours are why we love what we do. Your lake house already has amazing architecture, and the opportunity to design an outdoor living space that feels like a natural extension of the home made this project especially exciting. We believe the finished result is going to be something truly special and a standout on the lake for years to come.
Thank you again for trusting VizX Design Studios with your vision. We can't wait to see everything come to life and are grateful to have been part of the journey.
VizX Design delivers a true 5-star, high-end outdoor living experience from start to finish.
If you’re looking for a company that understands luxury outdoor design, these are your people. Their approach is on another level—they don’t just build spaces, they create custom outdoor environments that feel intentional, modern, and built for real living.
What impressed me most was their eye for detail and ability to bring a vision to life. From the layout to the materials, everything felt elevated. You can tell they specialize in high-end patios, outdoor living spaces, and custom landscape design that stands out from the typical work you see.
They also do an incredible job blending functionality with aesthetics—everything looks amazing but also makes sense for how the space is actually used. That’s the difference between a basic contractor and a true outdoor living design expert.
If you’re searching for:
• Luxury outdoor living design
• High-end landscaping company
• Custom patio and outdoor space design
• Modern backyard transformation
• Premium outdoor contractor
VizX Design should be your first call.
Top-tier experience all around—professional, creative, and masters of high-end outdoor living.
Thank you for taking the time to share this. It truly means a lot.
Our goal has always been to go beyond building and create outdoor environments that feel intentional, personal, and aligned with how our clients actually live. Hearing that you recognized the level of detail, thought, and design behind the work tells us we’re doing what we set out to do.
We appreciate you highlighting the balance between aesthetics and functionality. That is a core part of our philosophy and something we take seriously on every project.
Grateful for your trust and your words.

My husband found VizX through Instagram and we reached out by email. Their admin team quickly helped us schedule a consultation with the designer, Duane, who met with us in our home. He really took the time to understand our style and how we use both the inside and outside of our home, which was thoughtfully reflected in the design. His main focus was making sure we felt confident and happy with the plan before moving forward.
Duane served as both designer and project manager, which made the process very streamlined for us. He's very skilled and you can tell he's been doing this for a very long time! There are no other designs like this in all of IL. His team was very professional and trustworthy. While the project was delayed a few times due to weather and material logistics, everything ultimately came together smoothly—finishing just about a week past the original timeline. Duane checked in regularly on-site, and Isabel, his wife, kept me sane throughout the process!
We are extremely happy with the finished patio and were able to enjoy it often in the fall. My daughter, nieces and nephews especially love spending time outside, hanging out by the firepit and making s’mores.
Overall, our time and investment with VizX were well worth it. I can't believe it took me forever to pull the trigger --my advice to my past self would be "just get err done already! You will not regret it with VizX!" Thank you, Duane, Isabel and to the entire VizX team for your hard work and efforts in thoughtfully translating my vision into reality. 🙏💚

Wow. Thank you so much for this incredibly thoughtful review.
It truly means a lot to hear that the design reflected how you live both inside and outside your home. That connection is always our goal. We appreciate you trusting us not only with the design, but with guiding the project through completion. Delays can happen with weather and materials, and we are grateful for your patience and trust throughout the process.
Hearing that your family is using the space, especially around the firepit making memories together, is exactly why we do what we do. That part never gets old.
Thank you for the kind words about our team and for recognizing Isabel as well. She will love that. We are truly grateful you chose VizX, and it was a pleasure bringing your vision to life.

Thank you so much for the kind words. We truly appreciate the feedback and are grateful you took the time to share your experience. Design and professionalism are standards we take seriously, and it means a lot to hear that reflected back.
Working with Duane was truly an incredible experience. From start to finish, he was timely, thoughtful, and deeply creative. This project meant a lot to me. It was the home I grew up in, and I had a very clear vision rooted in both memory and function. Duane listened closely, took detailed notes, and translated every idea into something even more beautiful than I imagined.
His attention to detail, responsiveness, and respect for the emotional significance of the space made all the difference. The final result feels magical. It honors the history of the home while giving it new life. I could not be happier and would recommend Duane without hesitation to anyone looking for a landscape designer who truly cares about both the work and the story behind it.
Thank you for trusting me with something that meaningful.
Designing a space tied to memory, history, and emotion is never just about aesthetics. It is about listening, honoring what already exists, and carefully giving it new life without erasing the story. Being invited into that process with you was a privilege.
I am grateful for the trust, the clarity of your vision, and the opportunity to create something that feels both familiar and new. Knowing the space feels magical to you is the highest compliment. Thank you again for allowing me to be part of that story.
Duane is an utter genius in many regards, but as it relates to the Outdoor Living Design space? There is noone out there that is bringing the heat like Viz X. I have used them on several award winning projects. My hats off to Duane and the Viz X team!

Thank you. I truly appreciate that.
It means a lot coming from someone who understands great design and execution at a high level. Collaborating on award-winning projects together has been a privilege, and I’m proud of the work we’ve created.
Grateful for the trust and partnership. Looking forward to what we build next.
I worked with VizX Design Studios from July 2024 to January 2025. During that time, I did not receive full payment for work completed in December and January. I was also told I could either resign or continue working without pay.
I followed up many times and even had my attorney reach out, but as of more than twelve months later, I still have not received the remaining $2,700 owed to me. I have since filed a wage claim with the Illinois Department of Labor to resolve the matter.
This was my experience, and I share it so that prospective employees, contractors, and clients can make informed decisions. Proceed carefully and be sure to protect yourself.

We strongly dispute the claims made in this review.
The individual referenced was hired into a senior level role and failed to meet the professional, technical, and performance standards required for that position. Repeated issues with execution, reliability, and project accountability required direct intervention by ownership to protect active client work.
This separation was the result of documented performance and role fit failures. Any compensation related matters are disputed and are already being addressed through the appropriate legal and administrative processes. We will not litigate employment disputes or respond to ongoing smear attempts in a public forum.
VizX Design Studios operates with high standards for professionalism, accountability, and client care. We stand by our decisions, our body of work, and our long standing relationships with clients and partners.
