Ordered a vegan and gluten free cake for our wedding. I didn’t taste test before which was my fault. Not one person at the cake and everyone spit it out at our wedding. I had many vegans coming to my wedding so wanted to have options for them. Very disappointing. It looked beautiful though! We added the flowers on top.

Very prompt at responding to messages and very polite and reliable! Every cake I have ordered for my son and I has been 100% accurate to what I have ordered and 100% vegan!!!!

I got an amazing gluten free strawberry cake with cream cheez icing. It was delicious. It was easy to find the pickup location thanks to the FAQ and pictures. Can't wait to try more flavors in the future.

This is the second time we've picked up a cookie cake from VTasteCakes. My family is not vegan, but we have allergies and avoidances that make finding baked goods difficult. Their cookie cakes and simply the best. Everyone I've dealt with has been super helpful and friendly.
The absolute BEST Vegan Cake ever! @vtastecakes came through for my daughter’s Sweet 16. It was beautifully decorated, moist, an delicious. It was so good that I’m trying to create special occasions just to have a reason to order another cake! 😁

We order vegan cakes because of severe food allergies (not because we’re vegan) and all of the other non-vegan guests loved the cake as well! They couldn’t tell it was vegan! 😍

For the 1st timers, You have to turn down the driveway and go around the back and you will see the front door. The best vegan bakery in the city, you wont regret it, can’t wait to go back.

I had an interesting experience, I paid $210 for my cake, with 16 days in advance notice in their online form. I went back & forth with how it was to be decorated & even when I got the invoice with a small misunderstanding in instructions, I corrected & they acknowledged the correction. It was set to be picked up on my birthday from 11-11:30am. I was trying to work my plans around this time wondering if it was a strict pickup time. I emailed them the day before asking if it was or if i could pick it up anytime, I got no reply. The day of, I decided to call them when they opened at 10 to see if, again, it was a hard pickup time. It rung until voice mail, I hung up & called again about 15 minutes later, it rang twice & went to voicemail which I gave my name, number & pickup time as well as my question about the pickup time. At this point, since I live about an hour away, I asked my mom if she could go pick it up because I didn’t want to not be able to have my cake or incur a late charge or whatever it may be if anything. I didn’t want to take any chances. So she goes to pick it up while I go on with my birthday festivities, I get a call from my mom at 11:30 telling me they didn’t receive my order as they should’ve (they had to look for it) & didn’t make the cake 😀. I was still getting emails the whole time about invoicing & pickup time so it was a little crazy to hear that but things happen! I get it. They said they could get it done in the next hour or so. By the time I got the cake, it was a little dry, & the strawberries on top were slightly off, because they didn’t have enough to do the placing I had wanted. I think they did their best with what they had & had even threw in free cupcakes ranging in flavors, which I appreciated, but to pay $210 in total for this experience I felt kinda let down. My mom had to wait almost 2 hours for this cake because we live an hour away. She spent from 10:40 that morning leaving the house to 2:30 in the afternoon back home. I do appreciate the cupcakes being thrown in but I feel like the decorations were not done as carefully as they would’ve been, & the cake was kinda dry. I also ordered double chocolate, cake & icing as well as strawberry filling in the middle which wasn’t as prevalent in the cake either (i imagine possibly bc they didn’t have enough strawberries) & I couldn’t taste the chocolate in the icing (I don’t know if that was from the dye or what). I wish they would’ve answered the phone before we left to pick it up, they could’ve been working on it while on the way & maybe hadn’t had to wait so long & they’d have a bit more time to work on it but alas, it was what it was. Overall the cake was beautiful & it was lovely to eat a cake without worrying about the ingredients causing a reaction.

Please note that email responses can take up to 24 hours, depending on when we check our messages, and we did not see your email until after we had already begun addressing your order.
Regarding phone calls, we receive a high volume of inquiries upon opening, and without voicemails, we are unable to respond effectively to concerns. Once we became aware of the situation, we collaborated with your mother to create a solution and design that could be executed within the available timeframe.
We regret that the final product did not meet your expectations. While we utilized chocolate buttercream, we understand that dye can affect the flavor, particularly in darker-colored cakes. Nonetheless, we are pleased to hear that you found the design beautiful and thought the cake was lovely.
I ordered the lavender lemon balm cake for my birthday, and the cake was beautifully decorated, but the inside of the cake was like European biscuits. It was so hard even though we left it out at room temperature. It was quite grainy. I reached out to see if we could resolve the matter and I received no response for about four days. I wish I had really looked into some of the later comments who talked about how dry the cake was. Because I definitely is something you need to be home to eat.

After reviewing our records, we were unable to locate any emails, voicemails, or messages regarding this concern, but do wish we had before receiving such a negative review. We would have absolutely welcomed the opportunity to discuss it directly.
We also would like to note that your order was placed as a gluten-free cake option. Gluten-free cakes naturally have a different texture and crumb compared to traditional cakes due to the absence of wheat gluten. While we work hard to create gluten-free cakes that are both flavorful and enjoyable, the texture can vary from what some customers may expect from a standard cake.
