As a new immigrant to the country with a reasonably complicated situation for my first year filing taxes, the process couldn't have been easier if I tried. I worked with Stephanie Johnston who was an absolute delight the entire time and abstracted away the entire process to the point where I didn't have to do anything at all! I will absolutely be using Washington Tax services going forward. The entire experience was both incredibly pleasant and incredibly cost effective (I've used Tax services in multiple countries before as an immigrant and this one is definitely at the very top of the list for both value and efficiency).

Do not waste your time or money using WATAX as your tax preparation service. I hired WATAX in February of a previous tax season and submitted payment and all supporting documentation in the same month. I then followed up for months without hearing back until 5 pm the Friday before the Tuesday taxes were due, leaving me in a position to potentially pay penalties. When I did not hire the firm in a subsequent tax season, they still submitted an extension on my behalf (without asking me), and when I followed up to inquire further about what had happened, I was told “it wasn’t an issue” and then hung up on. Extremely frustrating experience all around.

Watax bookkeeping Team is great, navigating my first time as a business owner has been a little hectic when it comes to the finer points of taxes and bookkeeping but Nani and the team have been super helpful getting my books squared away and staying on top of things. They go above and beyond and I know they work hard , even answering emails after hours when I dont expect a reply untill the next day.
