Friendly and professional staff and very kind to my pet whom I took to be spayed.

Overall, it was not a pleasant experience to solicit services from this establishment. I took my dog for a routine wellness exam as a first time patient and since it’s a walk-in for their services, they told me they would take her to the back shortly. I’m aware that walk-in services may take some time and I was completely fine with waiting until she would be seen. And then 2 hours go by. The doggies in front of us are taken to the back and we hear nothing for 2 full hours. At this point, it’s nearing 12PM and one of the staff members comes to inform us that they would be closing the door for the next 2 hours, but we were welcome to wait until after lunch to be possibly seen for the wellness exam. She also offered to take my dog to the back to perform a “quick” wellness exam were they would just take her vitals and “check her” for a couple of minutes, but we would still be charged for the full amount of the wellness exam, which in my opinion, is totally absurd as the service provided wouldn’t be the complete service and attention. I asked her if there was a possible way to place an appointment for her for another day so that she would be guaranteed to be seen, after all at this point we’ve already waited 2 hours and nothings been done. She stated that there’s only walk-ins and that I could come back tomorrow to wait to be seen, but again, the same issue could possibly happen tomorrow since the appointment wasn’t guaranteed. I also asked if the “quick” wellness exam cost could be waived since we had waited for so long and she wouldn’t get the full work up, but no, it was going to be charged the full cost. I’m aware that the delays were due to the doggies in front of us having more critical issues and I completely understand that’s out of the staff’s control. However, I didn’t appreciate the lack of communication and help from the staff. The doggies in front of us were already there for a while, and the staff at that point would’ve already known that they’re more critical. One of the staff members could’ve definitely given us a heads up 1 hour or even 30 minutes into the waiting period to give us a heads up that it would take a while and that they close for lunch. But no, they were obligated to tell this to us because it was nearing 12 PM and they wanted to lock the doors so they could go to a 2 hour lunch, which again, same amount of time that we waited sitting around for no outcome. I will definitely not be coming back to this establishment, and I do not recommend you come if you want good communication between you and their employees, especially for long-term care. Please work on your communication and time management skills to prevent this from happening with another client.

Everyone was so kind and understanding of my dogs needs as she is a reactive dog. I was in and out quickly!

I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience with West Side Cimarron Veterinary Clinic. I usually take my pet to Dr. C’s Veterinary Clinic, but unfortunately, they were closed due to a power outage, and I was on a time crunch to get my pet’s rabies vaccination done. I decided to give this clinic a chance, hoping they would be helpful and understanding of my situation. Instead, I was met with what felt like one excuse after another just to get a simple rabies vaccination. The process was unnecessarily difficult and frustrating, especially considering I was already short on time and was only trying to make sure my pet received an important vaccination. If there was a legitimate reason they couldn’t provide the service, I would have appreciated a clear and honest explanation from the beginning rather than feeling like I was being given excuses. I understand that veterinary clinics have policies and procedures, but communication and customer service still matter. I went there because my usual veterinarian was unexpectedly closed, and instead of receiving helpful service, I walked away disappointed and frustrated. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this clinic. I hope they improve the way they communicate with customers and handle situations like this in the future.

I can’t say enough great things about West Texas Veterinary Clinic! We’ve brought our dogs here on multiple occasions, and every single visit has been an excellent experience. Once again, we brought one of our dogs in today for a suture removal, and the staff went above and beyond to provide outstanding care. What really sets this clinic apart is their incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and professional staff. You can genuinely tell they care about the animals they treat and take pride in the work they do. They consistently provide exceptional service and make every visit a positive experience. Another huge plus is their convenient operating hours, especially being open on Saturdays! Having a reliable veterinary clinic available on the weekend is a tremendous benefit for pet owners with busy schedules. It’s rare to find a place that consistently delivers this level of care, professionalism, and customer service. West Texas Veterinary Clinic has earned our trust time and time again, and we wouldn’t hesitate to bring any of our dogs back. If you’re looking for a veterinary clinic with compassionate staff, excellent service, and convenient hours, I highly recommend West Texas Veterinary Clinic. They truly deserve every one of these five stars!
