It looks like a very peaceful place. I should go again
It had been awhile since I had visited this park, but as soon as I got there I was reminded why I liked going there in the first place. You could tell that workers there cared about actually maintaining it, no it wasn't perfect of course, but what park is? But it looked good. They had many flowers to look at, lots of trees, there wasn't trash all over the place.
Woodward park has always been my happy place. It's so beautiful.
Wish work would be done! Flowers were pretty!
Nice park. Lots of construction going on in the north entrance and blocked, but this should pass.
The park worked perfectly for an intimate garden tea party! Beautiful well-maintained grounds.
A favorite place to go year-round! Each season has its own distinct beauty - this is late summer. Beautiful koi pond, a "teaching garden," plants are labeled for the edification of the park's myriad annual visitors. Some of the landscaping (the rose gardens in particular!) is reminiscent of the Gardens of Versailles. Editing to add additional information regarding the beautiful glass greenhouse. I was finally at the park when the greenhouse was open, and even more fortunate to have Jacob, the caretaker of the facility, present when I wandered in! He was so knowledgeable about all of the plants, and eager to share his knowledge with a fellow lover of all things "garden-ish!" He was busy watering everything (it's the end of a long, hot summer), but still took the time to tell me fascinating things about various plants that are thriving within that magical building. There is peaceful, meditative music quietly playing that, along with the sound of the fountain in the pool, lend to the atmosphere of tranquility. Dogs on a leash are welcome, obviously pick up after them! There are picnic tables under the shade of massive trees, public restrooms, and swings for the kiddos! The grounds are massive and kept very clean. Lots of parking in various areas, this is a "free to the public park!" Many of the gardening clubs (Herb, Iris, etc.) host meetings in the facilities on the south end of the park, and if you check online, you can see what various educational activities are available to the public (both adult and also kids' programs) each month!
Woodward park is a wonderful park to visit in Tulsa. The staff does a tremendous job with upkeep on all of the plants! Great parking available, great spots to picnic, lay about in the shade or in the sun! Definitely go visit Woodward park!
The squirrels will eat out of your hands if you get white cheddar popcorn!
This is our favorite park in the area.
