We were deeply disappointed this year. We have been to this camp in previous years and really enjoyed it, but this year both my kids missed out on an excessive number of activities due to items being broken or missing or malfunctioning. It was very hard on them to be told they’re going to do something fun and then not actually get to do it over and over again. They spent large chunks of several days sitting around in the heat being bored. There was poor communication around the issues, and when I reached out to the camp director expressing my concerns, I got a generic “I’ll look into it” response with no follow up. Unfortunately it appears this camp is not what it used to be. We will not be back.
This camp was overall just okay, so if you’re going, I would just go for one week. The food was not good at all I ate Hawaiian rolls for the week and the leadership is not great anymore either when I was there. Some of the fun activities were removed and when I was there we couldn’t even go in the lake which is one of the main reasons your paying for if your staying overnight. The cabins were great though and were air conditioned and the bathrooms are ok.
I recently attended a group event and had a wonderful experience. The kitchen staff were exceptionally hospitable, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout. The quality of the food was also very good—everything was well-prepared and enjoyable. I was especially impressed by the overall quality and cleanliness of both the staff’s presentation and the facility itself. Everything was well-maintained and ran smoothly, which made the event even more enjoyable.
My kids loved every year they come back they always talk about coming back truly a life changing experience and they love making new friends every year they call it a tradition would totally recommend
Our child went to day camp at Camp Widjiwagan and had an incredible experience! She loved climbing, riding a banana boat, playing games, and doing so much more! If your child loves adventure, Camp Widjiwagan may be the right place for them
i’ve been to widjiwagan for like 6 years and have always has the best time. the food is great, activities are fun and it’s just a great place to spend my summer!
