This is not a gym. It is strictly for yoga classes. No dedicated parking lot. Street parking. A variety of classes and times available. In addition classes are available through Zoom.
I was a few minutes late to class since I had some confusion parking (neighborhood streets are permit only after 6pm). Called the studio and the front desk directed me.
It’s been a few years since I’ve been to this studio but I remember liking it, very spacious, clean, a good community, and the tea after was a really nice touch.
Unfortunately, this time the yoga teacher acted annoyed as soon as I entered the class, which felt unprofessional and inappropriate considering I was personally ushered in so politely by the front desk staff member. I’d understand if there was a strict policy on late arrivals but there wasn’t.
Male teacher felt way too focused on talking down to me for not being obedient while stretching my hips on my back at the beginning of class a little longer than everyone else when he asked the class to stand on their feet. Usually teachers in every other class I’ve been in welcome you to listen to your body and move in the ways that you need as well as take breaks. This guy seemed to have a personal vendetta or an ego issue.
He walked over and asked if I was ok which I was, I was (stretching my hips in a yoga class) then proceeded to speak down to me and single me out trying to make an example out of me. Never had a female teacher be that weird. Condescending and creepy guy, definitely will not be taking his class again.
He also seemed more focused on performing a monologue for the live stream than assisting some of the students to do tree pose safely instead of putting their foot on their knee. Decided to leave early rather than sit in the hostile environment he created. The teacher’s name was Paul Cabanis.
Parking: free on Fair oaks, a good amount of spots in front of the studio but not enough for a full class, no lot, the neighborhood streets (State street) are permitted only after 6 pm.
Water: tiny cups so bring a water bottle but filtered water is available
Cubbies are supervised at all times
I love the yoga house! I have had a yearly membership for 2 years and I just signed up for my 3rd year. I can't imagine my life without yoga! It not only helps with strength, balance and core building but also stress relieving and mind calming. The staff and yoga instructors are great, patient, and friendly working with you to obtain your ultimate healthy body and mind goals and experiences.
I’ve been trying different yoga studios in the area for about the last month and Yoga House is my favorite! I’m really happy taking classes here. I think the instruction is top notch. The facility is really nice too. Hope this helps!
Daho has been the shining light for me every Tuesday throughout my pregnancy. Her prenatal yoga classes are the perfect blend of mindfulness, strength-building, and deep connection. Each session is thoughtfully sequenced with breath-work, gentle flows, and grounding asanas that support the changing body and prepare it for labor and birth.
Daho’s calming presence, steady voice, and intuitive guidance create a safe and nurturing space where I feel seen and supported. She integrates pelvic floor awareness, hip openers, restorative poses, and intentional modifications that honor each stage of pregnancy. I always leave class feeling more centered, empowered, and in tune with my body and baby.
If you're looking for a prenatal yoga teacher who truly understands the needs of the pregnant body and spirit, Daho is a rare gem.
I like the yoga house for everything they offer. The studio offers comfort and a peaceful atmosphere. The teacher are compassionate and caring.
I highly recommend The Yoga House.
