I've only been to two classes but so far I'm super impressed. I've attended two All Level flows and they truly felt all level. Other studios I've been too the all level classes felt like they weren't really built to include beginners or people just getting back into it after a hiatus. These classes were challenging but not so challenging I felt like giving up and just sitting in child's pose. I love the atmosphere here, it's down to earth and not pretentious (another thing I've disliked about other places I've gone). It feels like a place where real people go to do yoga regardless of their level of experience. The teachers I had were attentive and offered lots of enhancements for those wanting more of a challenge vs. giving difficult poses with modifications for those who are still building their skill/flexibility I'm still on the intro pass but hoping I can stick with it and make this my regular place.

I moved out of Austin about a year ago but was just thinking about how much I miss Yoga Pod! My favorite was barre express with Leanne, although I definitely took a couple of other great classes/workshops here and there during my time in Austin. I have yet to find a studio where I am now that has Yoga Pod’s feeling of community and kindness, inspired movement that left me feeling consistently stronger, and also the most adorable reception area. Always clean as well. Lovely space!

YogaPod offers a variety of yoga, Pilates, and fitness classes, along with sound meditations and seasonal events in a friendly and welcoming space. They also frequently offer discounted class packs for those wanting to try out some classes before investing in a membership! I’ve had a good experience with all of the YogaPod classes I’ve taken.

I've been going here for years and still love this place. They have the perfect class if you want to get a good workout in but also if you are completely beat and just need to destress. Not sure how they manage to get so many great quality teachers who don’t just force you through 50 sun salutations but have great ideas and new flows. Biggest plus: yoga pod are the sweetest most welcoming people and regularly make my day.

Love this studio! A regular practice here fixed my recurring back problems; helped me improve my energy, motivation, and self control; and I even finished a dormant goal to complete a triathlon. Class times are perfect to fit into busy lifestyles, and they have the best prices in town. I just wish they had a studio in North Austin, but it is worth the short drive to Central Austin. The community is so uplifting, welcoming, and motivating. Highly recommend.

I’ve been to Yoga Pod about half a dozen times now. It’s a really clean, professional, friendly, and welcoming environment. It’s nice to have the heated options, and I also appreciated the restorative class. I like the towel rental option. The one subtle shift I sense would increase the value for me personally is a dose of higher openness and authenticity in the vibe and the atmosphere. The friendliness and professionalism I mentioned seem to unintentionally mask raw and real human connection, be it at the front desk or in the studio. It’s not obvious, but something is a little sterile in the cultural environment. It shows up in the pre-scripted flows and music choices as well. Staff make small talk more than interesting dialogue. Many customers might actually appreciate this, it’s just not ideal for me. All in all, I’m grateful for the studio existing and offering its services. :)

I am a professional athlete. During the session "PodBARRE Express", we were asked to perform exercises with extreme loads — in particular, pliés on very high demi-pointe for more than a minute, likely closer to two or three minutes. This resulted in a foot injury for me. Needless to say, I will not return to this place, and I would not recommend such inadequate loading to anyone. I would like to clarify that this was not simply standing on demi-pointe. The exercise required holding a plié on very high demi-pointe for more than a minute — likely two to three minutes — with additional lateral bends. This combination dramatically increases load on the forefoot and metatarsal bones and creates significant shear forces within the foot and ankle. Prolonged static plié on high demi-pointe, especially with lateral bending, is biomechanically extreme and unsafe, even for well-trained professional athletes, and carries a high risk of overuse and stress-related foot injuries. In my professional opinion, this type of exercise and loading is unacceptable.

We’re truly sorry that this class did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. Your feedback is valuable and helps us continue to support our students as thoughtfully as possible. At Yoga Pod, student safety and comfort are always our top priorities, and we take concerns like this very seriously. Leanne’s barre classes do tend to be more advanced, but she consistently offers modifications and encourages students to listen closely to their bodies. She regularly cues returning to a “home base” whenever an exercise feels uncomfortable or unsafe—whether that means standing on two feet, sitting, or lying down. Leanne is a former professional ballet dancer and has been teaching barre for over 10 years. While working in demi pointe, especially on one leg, can feel quite intense, the intention is always for the ankle to remain supported and stable rather than pushing too far into the ball of the foot or toes. The heel should be lifted, but kept low enough to protect both the foot and ankle. She is a very experienced and well-loved instructor who strives to provide clear guidance and accessible options throughout class. Thank you.
