My 4-year-old has been attending Young Roots since she was 12 months old.
While they offer care for a wide age range, the children are grouped together by age to ensure they are working on age-appropriate activities. Each teacher my daughter has had over the past 3 years has been incredibly kind and patient. The owner, Sarah, is also very responsive and hands-on among the different classes.
They provide healthy breakfast, lunch, and snacks so I don’t have to worry about packing any food when I drop my daughter off. And I know they will have a chance to play outside in the large outdoor play area rain or shine. They even have a seasonal garden that the children help with.
I am confident my daughter is in safe hands every day and I have no doubt that she will be ready to start kindergarten next year with the skills she has built at Young Roots.

I'm so grateful for Young Roots and for everyone who works there. My daughter has been going to YR since she was 6 months old and she's now 4. All of the teachers are amazing, compassionate, caring individuals who care deeply for the children and for creating an environment that really allows the kids to explore and learn while feeling safe and loved. I love that the kids get so much outside time every day - they do water play in the summer and in the winter the kids still get to go outside every day as long as the weather isn't too crazy.
My daughter has learn all her letters since being at YR, she's learned a variety of words in spanish, she's watched caterpillars turn to butterfly's and she's learned all about different habitats in nature. I love that playing, learning and creativity are all connected within the curriculum. The kids do art projects just about every day and almost every day that I pick her up she has something to share about the fun she's had or what she's learned.
Sarah is an absolute gem and is so devoted the school and to all the kids who go there. Really can't say enough about the Young Roots community - it's been exactly what i was looking for and hoping for from the very beginning!

We have no doubt he will be ready for kindergarten when that time comes.
The teachers and aids are so amazing and cares so much about our son. Sarah, the director, works tirelessly to make sure every child is given the best care and feels loved and valued.
Choosing Young Roots was such a great decision for our family, and we are grateful everyday that our son has a warm and enriching place to be while we are working.

We have had such a wonderful experience at Young Roots Preschool, and I truly cannot say enough positive things about this school and the teachers. My daughter has been attending Young Roots for the past two years, and it has become such a special and meaningful part of her early childhood.
One of the things I appreciate most about Young Roots is how much they value outdoor play and exploration. The children are given plenty of time to be outside, move their bodies, explore their surroundings, and simply enjoy being kids. I love that outdoor time isn't treated as an afterthought, but as an important part of the children's day and development. It has been amazing to see how much confidence, independence, curiosity, and joy my daughter has developed through these experiences.
I also really appreciate the Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum. I love that the children are encouraged to be curious, ask questions, explore their interests, and learn through hands-on experiences rather than simply being given information. There is so much thought put into creating an environment where children can discover things for themselves and where their ideas and perspectives are genuinely valued. It is wonderful to see my daughter excited about learning and coming home with stories about the things she explored and discovered at school.
Beyond the curriculum, what has meant the most to our family is the care and thoughtfulness the teachers and owner put into creating a nurturing environment. Knowing that my daughter is spending her days somewhere she feels safe, supported, encouraged, and understood has given me so much peace of mind as a parent.

Fantastic preschool that will love and nurture your kids. It’s clear how much my girls have thrived here and we all love the teachers.
