Abacus for deck installation

Highly, highly recommend working with Abacus! After a failed attempt and unfortunate lawsuit with another contractor, Abacus stepped in the pick up the pieces. Our 3 story porch build was very complicated. They stuck with us for over a year through many design revisions and other issues. Once we kicked off the…
The whole Abacus team worked with us and responded to our specific requests during the project. They build a solid deck for us and we are quite pleased with the result. This was a tricky project, but Abacus was able to give us exactly what we wanted/needed. I recommend Abacus very highly.
We hired Abacus to build a roof deck and could not be happier with how it turned out. Our project needed variance approvals, and they were patient with me while I worked through that process, which took a while. The finished deck is beautiful. The crew was also genuinely friendly and easy to have around the house,…
I'm assessing Abacus in the following areas - project planning and management, communication, and professional connections. The project just wrapped up (Aug 2026) so I cannot attest to the work product quality. Overall, I had a fantastic experience with Abacus. I first reached out in Oct 2025 about a rooftop deck…
Great craftsmanship, great communication, quick turnaround. They were professional, responsive, and knew how to deliver a great looking deck in a short time.
Thank you Abacus! I’m really not easy to impress, especially when it comes to my own place, but you guys absolutely nailed my renovation. I’d been seeing their signs all over the neighborhood and figured they had to be good — so I reached out and they got back to me faster than any of the other contractor that I…
I can’t say enough good things about Abacus Builders. They are the most reliable, go to builder and developer in South Boston and Greater Boston. They show up, do the work, and do it right. I have worked with them on multiple projects, and every experience has been smooth, professional, and exactly what you expect…
Abacus rebuilt our roof deck after the old one had to be torn down to replace the roof. What I liked best was their no nonsense professionalism. I had spoken with a number of other contractors who hedged on this, hedged on that, wouldn't give straight answers. One even came back a week later with an oopsie, we…
