Highly renowned organization for senior services, care and residence.
Thank you Glen for your 5 star review of ACC Senior Services.
ACC was able to assist me with utility disputes on two separate occasions, once with ATT, and again with a third party energy supplier to PG&E. Each time they were efficient, professional and personable. They have many connections within the community to help with transacting business and negotiating. Seniors often feel they have no recourse with disputes that arise, but that certainly is not the case with ACC. I highly recommend them.
We are so happy that you were able to find help and resources with ACC Senior Services! Together with our partners, we strive to make life easier and more enjoyable for older adults.
I've lived in the neighborhood of the ACC services since before they were there. Now that I'm a Senior, I decided to check it out. I filled out the paperwork, paid my money, and was ready to go. Excited and a little nervous, I registered for my first two classes. I even called the day before to confirm. When I arrived, I was gruffly told to sign in (no smiles here), which I did. The computer allowed me to sign in, and the person at the desk asked what classes I was there for. At class time, I went in the room and waited.....and waited....until another member saw me and told me that the class was on a break and wouldn't resume for two weeks. Then I asked about it at the desk, and they just said, 'Yeah, there's not a class today.' That's the same person who just checked me in. I don't know why they let me pay and check in when there isn't a class. I sat and waited for the next class, 30 minutes, returned to the desk, and asked for the room #. The staff member told me that no one is available to teach the (2nd) class. The class they just checked me in on the computer and verbally. The front desk staff needs to know what's going on. I've been to other Senior Centers and have been greeted with a smile or a Welcome. At the ACC, the only people who were happy to be there were the clients. Maybe staff didn't like me, or maybe they don't like their jobs, but the 3 times I've been there, to sign up, to pay- and then for class, the staff is....blah. Staff issues aside, the computer system should not have let me sign in. I walked a mile to get there for nothing.
We are so sorry to hear of your experience. This is not the experience we strive for. We invite you to contact our Classes department to troubleshoot and assist, you can stop in and ask for the classes manager directly, or email [email protected] at anytime to reach them. We hope that you will provide us the opportunity to make it right for you.
