Straight shooters. Fix only what needs fixing.
Always take my vehicle's to Albert's on J Street. Honest, reliable, friendliest staff. Chad is the owner and always does what is right for his customers.
Coming to the end of 2025 and Albert Auto continues to keep my 2002 Silverado running great! Had more work done and I'm very pleased with them. I’ve been getting my vehicles serviced at Albert Auto since 2006 and have always been very pleased with their work and knowledge to do the job.
This is the second time I've taken my car to Alberts Auto, and both times they've been very kind, have explained things in depth to me in a way I can understand, and have been very quick to get my car serviced.
I have used Albert Auto for years. They have always treated me fairly and the work is completed professionally and in a timely manner. I recommend them to everyone without hesitation.
They had a common sense solution
The Team at Albert Auto was highly professional, efficient and openly provided all details I asked for without hesitation or a condescending spirit. A positive experience on all levels.
Gave me good service and straight answers
I recently bought a used car off craigs list. I took it to Alberts to get the oil changed and to see if it needed anything else. It was totally worth it. They changed my oil and checked my coolant levels and, replaced my burnt out headlight. Then they did an inspection and found a few issues I was unaware of but…
Great people, great service! Will definitely take my vehicles back here. Fair pricing.
Great service and fair prices. Can't ask for anything better than that.
I have been taking my cars to them for over 11 years they are always so helpful and definitely the best shop in town !!
Alberts received our truck on short notice. They were able to diagnose and repair an unusual problem. Great communicators and price was reasonable.
I live in Vinton and travel to this location because of the amazing service they provide for me. They are always nice and don’t mind answering any questions I have.
Chad an his crew do excellent work at a very competitive price. Would recommend for both tiers and repairs without hesitation.
Albert’s is fantastic. They are honest. Do the job right. I won’t take my vehicles anywhere else.
We use Albert Auto for all of our company vehicles. We have ben very happy with the level of services they provide and they are honest and trustworthy. They are able to schedule us in as needed, especially with urgent needs. I highly recommend them.

I was talking with a friend about a car issue I was having and she highly recommended Albert’s. I called to schedule an appt and they were able to get my car in soon after. They diagnosed and fixed the issue in a timely way and for a fair price. 10/10 recommend!
Chad and his team do a wonderful job. This is a family run business that knows how to take care of the customer. I would recommend them to anybody.
I have been using Alberts for years as well as my sons have been also. The quality of the maintenance is very high. Problems are resolved that other maintenance services have not been able to accomplish.
Albert Auto has always done an outstanding job getting my vehicles repaired and back on the road.
Albert’s Auto was recommended to me by several friends and also by CR transmission who repaired my transmission but they don’t do the other repairs that I needed (would highly recommend CR transmission also) - the resounding theme with the Albert’s recommendations was honesty, professionalism and expertise and I…
Chad was great. He explained what was needed now and what will be needed in the future.
I had an antifreeze leak which was getting worse by the day. I called on Monday, dropped my van off on Tuesday and got a call describing the problem and the cost to fix it, and the work was completed on Wednesday. Chad is a great asset because he can explain things and advise you on future work that needs to be…
Wonderful business to work with!
Albert auto was able to get my vehicle in for an appointment right away. They are friendly and helpful. Thanks!!
Friendly fast service!
Great service!
We have been bringing our cars to Albert Auto for a few years now. As difficult as it can be to find a reliable and trustworthy mechanic, we feel like we’ve hit the jackpot. They provide swift and knowledgeable work, they shoot straight and they don’t overcharge. Can’t recommend them enough!
Great place to work with and have your work at! Very nice and communicative and speedy service! Recommend all the way around!
I was in an accident and had my highlander towed to Toyota and was given an unrealistic quote! I then sent it to Albert auto that I have used for many years in the past and they were under by half from Toyotas quote. They worked with insurance, talked to me every day with updated and got my car back within a week…
Highly recommend.
Albert's Auto is the only place I take my vehicles. The staff is friendly and professional and most important to me they are honest. They tell you exactly what needs done and don't try to gouge you with a lot of needless repairs. Have never done me wrong and I would recommend them to anybody that needs quality and reliable auto service.
I originally called and schedule an appointment for my 7.3 diesel engine and gave an detailed description of the problem and Albert's took the appointment only to find out they were unable to do this type of work. I've used Albert's in the past and have not had any issues but this time they sent me back two weeks as…
Amazing service! Fair, honest and great price! Do yourself a favor and go here before anyone else
Very nice , and polite. Also got me in before my time. Quick and fast.
Albert Auto figured out what was wrong with my trailblazer and no one else could so I recommend them to anybody
They replaced several of my front suspension parts and did an alignment for $1100 cheaper than another shop quoted me for the same work. These guys took care of me and are Great to work with! Super Nice people. Highly Recommend!
I am not from Cedar Rapids & my car broke down there over the weekend. The man who towed my car recommended Alberts, and I am glad he did! The staff called me right away Monday morning to ask me what was going on. They kept me informed & up to date on the status of my vehicle while I was waiting for my repairs. I would recommend them to anyone!
Called and made an appointment, I was a little late to the appointment but they still got me in promptly, changed my front right wheel bearing and got it back to me before 2:00 that day! 5/5 would go back and recommend to friends and family.
Always professional and honest. I have been using them for all of my repairs for the past 5 years or so with no complaints.
Reasonable prices and honest work.
Chad and his employees are always great to work with. They work on my employer's vehicles and have worked on my family's personal vehicles for a long time. I've never had to go back because something wasn't fixed right. I'd recommend him quickly to anyone.
So impressed by this business. They are honest, kind, competent, & professional. They were so nice & attentive when I showed up unannounced with a “vehicle crisis”. Problem diagnosed & solved within 24 hours. Thank you!
Been here a couple times for different things. Work is done well, prices seem fair, job is done in a timely manner.
Excellent customer service, mechanic preforming the work on my vehicle kept me updated as things got done and work was preformed in a timely manner. Cost of repairs was less that anticipated as well. Five stars all the way!
Very fast and reasonable
Very awesome work they were very friendly didn't try to over sell me on anything an had my truck done very fast an the price was a couple hundred less than expected. Most definitely my new go to place
They got my vehicle in with little to no advance warning and under promised and over delivered on timeline for repair. The appear to be more reasonable with the same level of quality as some other more well known shops in town. 100% will use this mechanic again.
Albert Auto was very efficient with repairs and provided Great Customer Sevice!
They are great!! Fixed all the mistakes from Eberles Auto!! Recommend 10 out of 10!!
I am new to the area and I’m so glad I found this gem of a place. Being a woman, who knows nothing about cars, I’ve been scammed by different mechanics paying more than needed for repairs. Alberts Auto was the first place who was super kind and explained the process every step of the way. They got my car in fast,…
My vehicle was towed in to the J Street location, and the folks there took very good care of me. Very quick service, great communication, wonderful professionalism. Highly recommended, will use again if in Cedar Rapids.
Quick in and out professional service. Reasonable pricing, been using Chad at Albert's for years
I dropped off my vehicle the night before and by 9 am the owner called me to inform me of my issues and how they can fix them. Fast, Great service and even better pricing! Will Definitely use them again.
It is really hard to find a shop you can trust. These guys are thorough and honest. Also, do not make you feel pressured to fix things that are not in immediate need. I really appreciated the time Chad took this week on my family's vehicles. I am very happy with my experience there and will continue to have my car serviced with Albert Auto.
This is the only place I will take my cars to. Very honest people.
Albert Auto has always been our go-to for vehicle maintenance! We were sad when the downtown location closed, but we have stuck with them and go to the J Street location! They are quick, honest, and willing to go the extra mile!!
I had to have my truck towed and repairs were done quickly. Very happy with the service I received. Highly recommend.
I had received an astronomical quote at a dealership for an axle replacement on my 2011 Pilot, and I called Albert Auto for a second opinion. They gave a realistic and reasonable estimate and sound advice. Much appreciated! Great group of people to work with, honest and ethical.
Friendly, responsive, and professional service
nice group of guys they have a little fun and are very serious about what they do, Chad Albert (the owner) while taking on the monumental task of keeping his" well oiled machine" running smoothly is committed to his clients satisfaction and stands behind his work and his word, THANK YOU ALBERT AUTO for keeping my 2000 Toyota running like new!!!!
Used for both of my vehicles. Reliable work done in a timely manner.
Chad has a great team of people… everyone goes above & beyond for us. I typically wait in the lobby while they change oil, rotate tires etc. I am always in and out in 20-30 min- no excessive waiting at all. They are very honest and won’t perform a service unless discussed with me first and more importantly if…

Great service, friendly, fair price, quick work. Another dealer in the area wanted $80 just to diagnose the issue. I’ll be using Albert’s for all of my future needs.

We've been taking our vehicles to Albert's South for over 10 years. They are honest, trustworthy, and dependable. It's such a relief knowing we're covered if we have anything from regular maintenance to major repairs.
