She does a really good job with eyebrow threading, but unfortunately, my experience with her has been disappointing for several reasons. Whenever I pay by card, I notice unexpected charges, and the price seems to change every time I visit. It was initially $10, then $15 when I went last month, and now it’s $18. I shouldn’t have to ask how much I’m being charged every single time I come in.
I’ve also witnessed other customers experience the same confusion. On several occasions, people have walked in to ask about the price, only to react with surprise and ask why it costs more than their previous visit. Hearing multiple customers say things like, “Why? Last time it wasn’t this much,” makes me question how consistently the prices are being set.
Another issue is the rude comments she makes about the way my eyebrows look. That’s literally why I’m paying a professional to have them done. There’s no need to make customers feel uncomfortable or embarrassed about their appearance.
I’ve also noticed that the prices displayed on the signs are covered up. I’ve seen other reviews mentioning this, and her explanation is that she’s getting new signs. However, the prices have been covered since the beginning of the year, which is when I started going there. At this point, that explanation is hard to believe.
It’s unfortunate because she has good threading skills, but inconsistent pricing, unexpected card charges, a lack of transparency, and unnecessary rude comments make the overall experience unpleasant. Customers deserve clear, consistent pricing, to know exactly what they’re being charged before paying, and to be treated with respect.
She requests to recommend her services to friends while doing your eyebrows (more than 1 time) which is uncomfortable and also I’m not recommending a business that changes the price every time I walk in.

Hidden tip: If she adds a tip without your authorization and represents it as a tax, that could constitute deceptive or fraudulent conduct, depending on the evidence.
Misrepresented tax: A business cannot simply label its own fee or tip as a government tax. The actual charge and how it is represented matter.

I would like to address your review because several of your statements misrepresent my business and the intentions behind my actions.
First, my prices have changed due to inflation and rising business costs. Businesses are allowed to adjust their prices; that does not automatically make those changes dishonest or fraudulent. You mentioned that my prices went from $10 to $15 and then $18. Price changes are not the same as hidden charges, and I do not add unauthorized tips to customers’ bills.
Regarding payment, I inform customers about the card charge beforehand. The $18 total includes that charge, so it is not a surprise tip secretly added to your bill. There is a difference between a disclosed payment-related charge and an unauthorized charge, and it is unfair to suggest dishonesty without accurately distinguishing between the two.
As for my price signs, the old prices have been crossed out because my prices have been updated. They are not being covered up to deceive customers. Updated signage takes time to design and produce, and that process is not always immediate. Since you brought up New Jersey’s Consumer Fraud Act, it is important to understand that the law addresses deceptive business practices; it does not prohibit businesses from changing their prices. What matters is that customers are not misled about the prices and applicable fees they will pay.
I also want to address your comments about my professionalism. There is a difference between insulting someone’s appearance and explaining the work required to correct their eyebrows. Some clients return after months of growth or after having their eyebrows threaded elsewhere and expect me to correct uneven shaping or restore their desired shape. This can require significantly more time, precision, and effort than routine maintenance. Explaining the additional work involved is not the same as intentionally embarrassing a customer.
Regarding referrals, I ask customers to recommend my services because I take pride in my work and appreciate word-of-mouth support. You are under no obligation to recommend my business, but asking for referrals is not wrongdoing.
You are entitled to choose whichever threading professional you prefer. However, there is a difference between sharing feedback and making accusations that imply deliberate dishonesty. I welcome constructive criticism, but I also expect my business and my intentions to be represented fairly.
I stand by the quality of my threading and the time and skill I put into my services. I am happy to clarify pricing and address legitimate concerns, but I will not accept being portrayed as dishonest simply because my prices have changed or because you disagree with the cost of a service.

Eyebrows ok. But I'm left with wax on a very expensive hoodie. Owner claims it will come off after she tried scrubbing it several times. She kept explaining how it happened which was pointless. If it comes off I'll update my review. For now, I have to go back home to change!

We understand that you’re upset about the wax getting on your hoodie, but accidents happen, and no one intentionally damages a client’s belongings. We made an effort to address the situation and remove the wax, yet instead of having a respectful conversation, you chose to raise your voice and be rude toward us.
Repeatedly emphasizing how expensive your hoodie was does not change the fact that this was an accident. If you choose to wear an expensive or delicate item while receiving waxing services, you should understand that accidents can happen during any beauty service. That does not mean we don’t care about our clients or their belongings.
We take pride in our work and always strive to provide good service, but respect goes both ways. We were willing to address your concern, and there was no need for the yelling or disrespectful behavior. We’re sorry this happened, but we will not accept being treated rudely over an unintentional accident. We expect our clients to communicate respectfully, just as we do with them.

Amber is absolutely amazing at what she does. She takes her time with every appointment and pays incredible attention to the smallest details (which is so important when it comes to eyebrows). She won’t let you leave until the shape is just right! The angle, length, arch, thickness, symmetry… she gets it all on point every single time.
Her work is 100% worth the price, without a doubt. I made the mistake of getting my eyebrows done somewhere cheaper once (before I knew about this place), and they were uneven for almost a whole year because the wrong hairs were taken out and took forever to grow back properly. Never again! I would rather travel an hour every month without hesitation just to have Amber do my eyebrows.
On top of being incredibly talented, she is always so lovely, caring, and welcoming. Making an appointment is super easy, and the service is consistently amazing.
If you’re particular about your brows like I am, trust me, Amber is your girl! Highly recommend.
