Customers frequently praise the affordable key duplication, knife sharpening, and general hardware services, noting that staff are typically knowledgeable and friendly. However, lower-rated reviews describe inconsistent phone service with abrupt hang-ups and instances of rude or condescending in-person interactions. Additionally, some patrons report unreliable operating hours, citing unexpected closures that disrupted their visits despite the store's generally positive reputation.

sweetheart of a man helped me. keys only $2-3 to copy. support your local hardware store 💟
Best prices for key copies and they cut it while you wait, no finicky self service machines to mess it up! Incredibly friendly and helpful staff as well
The kind of corner hardware store that makes you glad to live in Chicago. I received immediate and patient assistance for my project. Seemed really helpful at first, but the experience quickly turned rude and condescending! The person helping me wasn't interested in helping me, but seemed keen on talking over me, like I was 10 year old child! I will never go back, I now shop At ACE Lakeview, a completely different experience, with super helpful staff.

Also a cool selection of products for DIYers, gardeners, and crafters. Forget about the box stores and do yourself and your community a favor! Extra points for going to a place and not having to search down an employee who may or may not he able to help you. This is what a hardware store should be.

This is the cheapest and fastest place in the neighborhood to copy keys. The employees are always friendly and knowledgeable.
