After two rounds of dead ends I tried arkko hazardous waste disposal and they just handled it. E-waste, a few boxes of bulbs,ballasts. Two hours on site and the loading Bay was clear. They told me up front they don't do ordinary trash. So I dealt with that part separately.

ARKKO came in, did an assessment on what we actually had, repackaged everything into DOT approved drums and handled the profiling so we could get it shipped out legally. took about three weeks from first call to truck leaving the dock which I thought was reasonable given the paperwork involved. the rep kept us updated every step and didn't disappear once the quote was signed. our EHS manager was breathing easier by the end of it. would call them again before I called anyone else for anything similar

we had ARKKO come out to our facility in Elk Grove Village to handle a large batch of e-waste and old batteries. talking about a full cleanout - UPS units, lithium packs from old equipment, some nickel cadmium stuff that had been sitting around since before i started working here. the e-waste alone filled like 6 or 7 gaylord boxes which i wasnt expecting honestly. what stood out to me was they actually sorted everything on site into the right waste categories rather than just throwing it all in one container and leaving. the lithium batteries got packed in vermiculite which i guess is a DOT requirement for shipping, didnt know that until i watched them do it. got all the manifests and disposal certificates within about three weeks after pickup. our EHS manager was happy because she needed those for an upcoming audit and the timing worked out.
