Shawn did a nice job with three significant projects for us (turning a garage into a multipurpose room and remodeling two bathrooms). He and his team were responsive, high integrity and professional. Workmanship was good, and we appreciated their flexibility as changes or additional needs arose. Would definitely work with Shawn and his team again.

They have also repaired a balcony, roof deck, closet, door replacement, painting and garage door opener. Shawn knows all the right people who can work on a project, no matter what the issue is.

UPDATE August 2026:
We hired AYA Homes for a full backyard renovation, including a paver walkway with curved retaining walls, a cedar pergola with a retractable shade canopy, and a stone-clad outdoor kitchen with a built-in grill, sink, and countertop seating. We came in with a basic plan and Shawn helped us add details that we liked. Everything is high quality, well designed, and looks great. Shawn is very communicative and keeps us in the loop.
---------
We recently hired Shawn for our home renovation project and were very pleased with the results. Shawn worked on our balconies, fireplaces, and kitchens.
Shawn is fast, finishing our project ahead of schedule, and he’s great at coming up with creative solutions, like cat-proofing our balcony—something we hadn’t even thought of. His proactive approach and ability to suggest improvements really made a difference in the final outcome.
Shawn is very communicative, keeping us informed at every step and reaching out regularly to clarify details and make sure everything was just right. While his thorough approach means frequent calls, which might not suit everyone’s schedule, we appreciated his dedication to getting things perfect.
It’s worth noting that Shawn is on the higher end of the cost spectrum, but his quality of work and commitment to detail made it worth it for us. Overall, we highly recommend Shawn for anyone looking for a skilled contractor who can handle unique challenges. We’re delighted with our renovation and would hire him again.

We hired Shawn from AYA Homes to do structural repair work to the foundation and exterior walls in the garage. Shawn guided through the overall process of hiring an engineer and helped secure permits from the city. Once the work started, the work practically wrapped up in no time, with only bottlenecks being multiple inspections, which Shawn scheduled and handled very professionally. The quality of the work was great, and we are very happy with the outcome of the repair project.
