Amazing customer service! My mom is a longtime member, and even though they were fully booked, they went above and beyond to squeeze me in. They were concerned about me driving my car to work for the next few days with a potential safety issue, so they made arrangements to get me in. Not only did they find and fix the problem, but I had my car back within two hours! Both the office staff and the mechanics are incredibly polite, friendly, and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. I’m making a report to BAR and DMV because I can’t let this shop be charging 700$+ for tpms sensor replacement when all the tire needed was AIR, state inspectors should be on their way soon since you’re not letting cars pass STATE INSPECTION unless they PAY YOU YOUR CRAZY ESTIMATES 😭

We take these allegations seriously, particularly the claim that our facility intentionally fails vehicles to sell repairs. That is not how we operate, and several statements in this review misrepresent our findings and the information provided.
TPMS ($700+): Our diagnostic equipment could not communicate with any of the vehicle's four tire pressure sensors. We explained that this did NOT establish that the sensors were defective and that further testing would be needed. The inspection concern was the illuminated TPMS warning light—not a confirmed failure of all four sensors. We provided preliminary pricing for aftermarket sensors only to illustrate a possible cost IF replacement became necessary. We did not recommend replacing four sensors without a confirmed diagnosis. This was never a $700 charge to add air to a tire.
Fender liners ($863+): The vehicle arrived with missing fender liners. During a waiting appointment, we completed the initial inspection and obtained preliminary pricing in approximately two hours. The readily available quote was for expensive OEM parts from the dealership. We specifically told the customer we did not recommend that costly option and offered to look for more affordable aftermarket or used parts. Providing a price for reference is not the same as insisting a customer buy those parts.
Brakes: At the FIRST inspection, we specifically explained that BOTH brake pads and rotors needed attention. We emphasized this distinction because replacing pads alone does not resolve deficient rotors, and our written estimate included pads AND rotors. The vehicle was repaired elsewhere, but only the pads were replaced. On return, the original rotor deficiencies remained, so the vehicle did not pass reinspection. These were not new findings or added repairs; they were issues documented and communicated from the start. We also waived the SECOND inspection fee as a courtesy, despite the additional time involved.
Alleged refusal of another inspection: We strongly dispute this claim. We have no record of declining a request for another inspection and have continued accepting inspection appointments. We retain telephone and business records and welcome details about when this alleged refusal occurred.
Most importantly, customers are NEVER required to purchase repairs from Aztek Auto Repair to pass a state inspection. This policy is explained verbally AND explicitly stated on the printed work order provided to the customer.** Estimates explain potential repair costs and options; they are not demands to authorize repairs. Customers may choose any qualified repair facility. However, the vehicle must meet applicable safety requirements before we can issue a passing inspection.
As a licensed California Vehicle Safety Systems Inspection Station, we base results on documented vehicle conditions and applicable standards—not on where a customer chooses to have repairs performed. We maintain inspection reports, estimates, and service records and welcome an objective review by the Bureau of Automotive Repair or other appropriate authorities.

The people that work there are beyond nice, especially Katie.
I'm still in disbelief of how nice she was to me. I didn't think people like her existed anymore. Her customer service is exceptional, she will go above and beyond to help you she is such a gem, and Roberto, I'm not exactly sure how to describe this man but now I'm believing he was Heaven sent, if I'm not mistaken he is the owner of the shop,
I was told he was a master mechanic and that he is. This kind man would not give up on helping me with my car, even when I said to him do you think I should give up he said to me no, let's keep trying I know I can fix the problem and that's exactly what he did, he fix the problem,
I know most mechanics would have told me there is nothing else I can do for your car and would have sent me on my way, but not Roberto he was extremely helpful to me and I know it was GOD who sent me to this shop. because HE knew HE was going to use Roberto to fix the problems I was having with my car, and HE was going to have Katie help me with the other things I needed.
Roberto is an absolute genius at what he does, and he is also a very nice and kind man, I believe this is a family owned business,and when you go there they make you feel like family, everyone there is so nice and friendly.
