Brandon Busby usually does our work. He’s on time and always very courteous and professional. He does a thorough job and make sure everything is working properly before he leaves and never seems to grow tired of me watching him. Do what he does. His patience is quite remarkable. I would highly recommend him and Bama Heating And Air.
Justin and his apprentice are great and very professional. Justin Explained everything thoroughly. I’m going to be getting in touch with Bama air to fix our other unit in December.

A tech came out and said the compressor needed to be replaced. He couldn't give me an exact quote but it would be between $5500 and $6500. I pushed back saying the unit was less than 5 years old as we moved into a new home in December of 2021. He said it wasn't under warranty because Carrier goes by the manufactured date. I called Carrier, they go by the closing date on new construction. The lady said that Bama Air should know that. So the compressor was still under warranty. I got 3 quotes from different companies to install the new part (no cost due to warranty, one tech told me their cost on the compressor was $1020 which Nathan verified) They would also bleed the lines, change the filter and put in 7 lbs of freon. One quote was $1900. One was $1650, one $1600. Bama Air was $2250. I verified the warranty and called Bama Air back on Thursday the 15th. They said they would call me on Friday the 16th with a quote. I finally heard back from them on Monday the 19th at 4:05 pm. I put all this information into Gemini AI and it said the tech was trying to push me into buying a new unit. You do the math, say the compressor wasnt under warranty. $1020 for the part and their price of $2250 to install and charge, by far the highest bid, comes out $3270. How in the world did we get to $5500- $6500? To add insult to injury, when I was paying for the $89 service using my debit card. The tech told me there would be a 4% surcharge if I used the card. Visa strictly forbids this practice. Are these folks unethical? I'll let you decide.
