I just stopped at the store to ask about some exhaust hose I was planning on purchasing a good amount spending about 300.00 dollars and was just about physically threatened by the owner for trying to ask a simple question I had to leave the store as he approached me screaming. I would not recommend buying anything…

I just stopped at the store to ask about some exhaust hose I was planning on purchasing a good amount spending about 300.00 dollars and was just about physically threatened by the owner for trying to ask a simple question I had to leave the store as he approached me screaming. I would not recommend buying anything from that store you might be in danger he has a reputation of acting in this manor and should not be dealing with the public. I going to speak with the Wakefield police department regarding the incident, there also was a young boy there who witnessed the whole thing. DON’T BUY FROM BOATS AND MOTORS.
This customer has known us for years, and even bought a small outboard motor from us years ago. Our computer indicates that every year or so, he is a customer. The customer entered the store when the gentleman and another store employee were lifting a heavy outboard from the display rack by the door. We asked how we could help him. He was interested in hose. He was asked to go to the counter to be helped by the owner. While walking past, he reached in and put his hand on the motor we were lifting. Not helping us, but for some reason just getting between us and putting his hand on the motor we were lifting. We said “Don’t reach in on us”. He did it a second time and in a more serious tone and volume, we said again “Don’t reach in on us”. That stopped him. We said “Please go to the counter for help”. On the way to the counter, he stopped and said that he does have a motor question. We were still lifting the heavy motor., and asked him to go to the counter for the help he sought. He would not. He insisted upon trying to ask something about motors, interfering with our heavy lift, at which point we made it clear to him that it was time for him to leave, as he refused to go to the counter for the help he sought. He was actually inserting himself as a safety risk. At no time did this customer have any interaction or conversation with the owner during this visit.

Hands down, the best place to get ANYTHING you need for your boat. Parts. Service. Advice. None of which are scarce at Boats and Motors. Mary and Fred have been keeping us on the water for over a decade, across 4 boats. The knowledge I have learned from them, and the service I have received is hands down the best anyone could ever ask for. This is the type of business we should be bending over backwards to support. I absolutely love these people and their staff. If Boats and Motors doesn’t have it in stock, or can’t get you it in a couple days….YOU DONT NEED IT! Look no further. You have found your new marine center for life.
