A roof is a big ticket item, communication was easy, trust was established. It was a relief to spend so much money and feel confident in the process and the point person.

Their work looks good.
Thank you, Marty, for the 4-star review. We’re glad to hear the roofing work looks good, and we appreciate you choosing California First Roofing.
I would highly recommend Lior and his team. We recently needed our roof replaced and he came out the day after we inquired to check things out. You can tell he has a lot of experience and he just felt like an honest guy that wanted to help people out with his craft. Always being responsive, getting all of the city permits coordinated, and recommending a great electrician to help us with uninstalling/reinstalling our solar panels. They explained exactly how things would go, they were all very kind, and I really felt like I could trust them. Their prices are very reasonable and would happily call them again if any roof work needed to be done.
Thank you
We requested a new roof with a skylight removal, cricket installation, and solar off / solar back on. From the beginning, the company was clear with the service and cost. They completed the work within a week and left no damage or mess. They removed years of poor roofing, installed a new roof with better sublayer protection, and stopped the roof from leaking.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review, Angella! We're thrilled to hear that you loved our work on your new roof and skylight removal. Your satisfaction means the world to us!
Lior completed our roof project today--our first experience with CFR and Lior. On time and on budget. With the final inspection behind us, I would welcome the chance to work with Lior again. Lior's quote wasn't the cheapest by a small margin. Examining the fine print, however, we found that the slightly cheaper proposal capped the amount of free plywood used for a flat roof repair. Lior clarified that there was no plywood limit in his proposal, one of the factors that won the day. In the end, I was more comfortable with the contractor taking the materials risk than potentially being stuck with an overage: worth a small delta in pricing. Our new roof looks terrific. Lior didn't cut any corners. If you consider United for your project, you will not be disappointed!
Thank you, Shriya Sharma! We're thrilled to hear that you had a great experience with Lior and that your new roof looks fantastic. We appreciate your trust in us and hope to work with you again!
It has been so gray and gloomy out today and I was honestly panicking that my ceiling was going to start dripping again. California First Roofing sent a guy out to look at the tiles and he actually took the time to show me where the seal had thinned out near the chimney. Getting that roofing repair knocked out while it is still just cloudy and 65 degrees was such a stroke of luck. I can finally stop staring at the weather app every ten minutes worrying about a surprise downpour ruining my furniture.
Hi there! Thank you for sharing your experience, S V. We're thrilled we could help catch that issue before the rain hits! If you need anything else, don’t hesitate to reach out. Stay dry!
There's a reason why CFR has a five star rating. They do an amazing job, extremely thorough in catching damaged wood caused by dry rot and termites, even helped with mixing termite pesticide on the bare wood before installing the shingles, and the clean up was the cleanest I've ever seen when removing and disposing of an old roof. Dealing with them was a pleasure. They communicated clearly and effectively every step of the way from picking out the shingles to be installed, to what dormers and vents will be used, and the starting cost as well as the adjustment costs for unforseen damage. While replacing a roof is costly, the amount I paid was reasonable!
Thank you for choosing California First Roofing
The old shingles were literally curling up at the edges so we had to move fast on a full roof installation before those April storms started hitting San Diego. I'm glad I didn't wait because the crew showed up exactly when they said they would and knocked the whole thing out in just a few days. They didn't leave a single nail in my driveway which is a first for any contractor I've ever hired. The flashing looks solid and the house actually feels tighter now so I'm not worried about the next downpour.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Ellie Kim! We're thrilled to hear that our team was able to complete your roof installation efficiently and leave your home in great shape. Your satisfaction means the world to us!
We hired California First Roofing to completely redo our roof last summer, and we couldn't be happier! We haven't had a single issue since the work was finished, solid proof of their excellent craftsmanship. They did the assessment and he was very knowledgeable and professional. The whole team of roofers was hardworking and very thorough. They showed up on time every day, kept the site neat and organized. Finding a reliable roofing company isn't easy, but these folks are the real deal.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Olivia Freeman! We’re thrilled to hear that you’re happy with your new roof and our team's professionalism. Your satisfaction means the world to us!
I noticed a couple of water spots on the ceiling after the last heavy rain and knew I couldn't put off a repair any longer. The crew was great about coming out quickly to tarp things off before they did the full tear-off. They were super efficient and actually took the time to explain why the venting needed to be upgraded, which made a lot of sense once they showed me the old attic setup. Everything looks sharp and I’m glad to have it done before the real winter weather hits.
Hi Aveline Chen! Thank you for your kind words. We're glad our team could assist you promptly and explain the necessary upgrades. Enjoy the peace of mind as winter approaches!
I noticed some debris in my yard last week and realized a couple of shingles had actually come loose from my roof. I was worried about leaks so I called around and these guys were able to get someone out the next afternoon to take a look. The crew was super professional and just got straight to work replacing the missing pieces without trying to upsell me on a whole new roof. It is such a relief to have that checked off my list and the price was way more reasonable than I expected.
Thank you for your kind words, Sophia Bacalzo! We're so glad we could help with your roof repairs and that you found our service professional and reasonably priced. If you need anything else, just let us know!
