Customers frequently praise Capital Palmetto Builders for punctuality, professional communication, and assistance with insurance claims. Reviewers highlight efficient roof replacements, vinyl siding installations, and fair pricing, noting that crews often complete work within a single day and leave sites clean. However, several low-star reviews cite recurring issues with post-installation leaks, delayed response times for repair requests, and unreturned calls regarding quotes or scheduling.

I often rely on Google and other reviews when making purchase decisions - usually that works well. Unfortunately, choosing Capital Palmetto Builders Roofing (CPBR) several years ago based on reviews turned out to be a mistake. Within just two years of their repairs and roof replacement of my mother's house, shingles began coming off. When I contacted CPBR, they claimed the damage was caused by the weather — ironically, that's very thing a roof is supposed to protect against. I later hired another company to assess and repair the roof. Their conclusion matched mine: CPBR did a poor job on the installation. CPBR may try to counter this by adding more five-star reviews, but that doesn’t erase the fact that they were paid for substandard, amateur work.
Dear Soonbaht Simmons, We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and that your mother’s roof required additional repairs after our work. At Capital Palmetto Builders Roofing, we take pride in providing quality craftsmanship and standing behind our work, so your feedback is concerning. Weather events in South Carolina can sometimes cause damage even to newer roofs, but we always want to review any situation thoroughly to ensure everything was handled properly. We would appreciate the opportunity to look back at your project and see what may have happened. Please contact us directly at 803.490.0714 or [email protected] with your project details so we can review the installation records and make things right if we fell short. Thank you for bringing this to our attention — your feedback helps us improve and continue serving our customers with transparency and care. — The Capital Palmetto Builders Roofing Team
In my work, I deal with several building contractors. Capital Palmetto Builders installed a roof on my house. Their price was the best. The quality was great. The workers were on time and were respectful. The punch out at completion put the final touches that made the roof look better then before installation. I would highly recommend them. After completion of the roof, I hired them to paint the house. They did a great job on it also.
Capital Palmetto and Mike Baker were awesome to work with. They fought hard and continued until our claim was approved/paid. Install was clean and efficient and they even came back to make sure we were completely satisfied. Because of this experience I continue to refer clients to them that need a roof and may need to power they bring with today’s insurers/adjusters. Good to go here, proceed with confidence.
After spending 12k for them to replace my roof, it still leaks in the same spot. I've called 4 times (most recent April, May, and last week on 6/23), 1st time I was told someone would be out to fix it, next 3 times I was told I'd get a call to tell me when they'd be out, never got a return call. At this point, I'm sure there is damage in my attic, so I'll have to get someone to check and then I'll file my civil suit. For 12k they should do much better!!
I used this company and they did a great job.Answered all questions and helped every way possible. Thanks so much.
They are excellent workers If we ever need them again we will definitely call them Always on time and good communication
The crew was great on time did a very nice job. I will give them a file star very excellent like the color and all perfect.
Was on site early before I expected. Did their job. 1900 square foot house in a Day. I would have like them to have put everything back after they were done. I would recommend them to the most picky person I know
