This park is a beautiful place to catch a bit of nature.. geese and ducks came close, big koi are visible in the well maintained pond, landscape is being beautifully done! Paths are great for even the double stroller or a wheelchair. Not super wide, it felt a bit tight to have the stroller and let people by, but we fit!

Carmel City Parks & Recreation
Carmel City Parks & Recreation at a glance
Google reviewers rate Carmel City Parks & Recreation highly, citing its peaceful atmosphere, well-maintained Japanese garden, and accessible paths suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. Visitors frequently mention the presence of koi fish, geese, and picnic tables near the Monon Trail. One criticism notes that paths can feel tight for double strollers, while another observes the pond was dry during spring, though these issues did not significantly impact the overall positive sentiment regarding the park's tranquility and natural features.

Lots of geese in the spring and cute babies! Make sure to take some kibble for the fish and geese. There is a little library box, lots of picnic tables and direct path to the monon trail. Not too far from the water fountain also.
Nice and peaceful little japanese garden with a pond. There is a bike trail next by.
Love the morning walks. My new born had the best of fun walking and playing here
Don't miss The Flowing Well on 116th St., just east of Gray Rd. Dogs, kids, joggers, walkers, photo geeks. Love it!
One of the best hidden gems attached to the monon trail, large pond waterfalls and beautiful Koi fish
