Let me start off by saying that Julie saved me after my original photographer canceled a month and a half from my wedding date. She was sensitive to this and became a friend of mine right then and there.
After helping me pick what package would fit best for my wants for my wedding she informed me that the package usually included a engagement session but unfortunately we are from out of town so could not come to Michigan any sooner then the wedding weekend. I asked if she would want to meet my husband and I at our welcome party just so we met in person before the big day. She agreed and I am so happy that she did because from then on she became family. All of the parents and other guests adored her!
The day of went flawlessly! She helped me remain calm through out the day and even helped my husband look natural in our photos. She rarely posed us but instead told us to be ourselves which can be seen as the day went on. I thought that I was stuck in my mind as to how I wanted to look during my own portrait shots but she told me to be me and to smile and this made me feel relaxed and to just be in the moment . I loved her ability to shot a moment in seconds and not have to repose five different times to perfect the shot. She would say cute snap snap done, next! It was because of her we were able to stay on track when it came to the schedule for the day because a little dress malfunction threw us way behind. I dont know if she wants me to mention this but she stayed over her time after she saw what the late night snack was and wanted to take a picture of my husband and I feeding a taco to each other, seriously one of my favorite pictures from the weekend.
All in all if you want a wedding photographer that doesn’t pose you, doesn’t waste time, makes you feel like you can be yourself, and someone that feels like a part of the family member after HIRE JULIE!

When you first reached out after your original photographer canceled so close to the wedding, I remember immediately feeling for you because that’s such a stressful thing to go through during a season that’s already emotional enough. From the very beginning, you trusted me completely, and I’m so thankful you did.
I’m honestly SO glad we got to meet at the welcome party first because it completely changed the whole weekend in the best way possible. From the second I walked into the A frame and saw everyone gathered around the fire, putt putt setup, drinks flowing, all the cozy woodsy vibes, it already felt special. But what really stood out was your family and friends. Every single person was welcoming, kind, fun, and just genuinely happy to be there celebrating you two. By the end of the weekend I truly did feel like part of the family, and that’s something I’ll never forget.
Also…the taco photo absolutely had to happen 😂🌮 One of my favorite moments too. I don't know if you know this, but I was on my way out, all packed up in my car when I saw Danielle pull up next to me and just unload all the tacos and McD's late night snacks and I just HAD to run back with just my one camera to grab those fun shots!
I think one of the things I loved most about your wedding day was how natural everything felt. Nothing felt forced or over posed. You two were just fully yourselves the entire day, and that’s exactly why the photos feel so emotional and real. Watching you relax into the moment throughout portraits was honestly so rewarding because by the end you weren’t “trying” anymore, you were just present with each other.
And your husband seriously did amazing too 😂 By the end of the night he looked completely comfortable in front of the camera.

We wanted a very specific style that was cinematic and evoked a lot of emotion! Luckily we found Julie’s website and her photos had the exact look and feel we loved. Upon first talking with her, she clicked with us right away and asked all the right questions and things we never even considered! She made the planning super easy and we absolutely loved how detailed she was making sure we knew exactly what would come next and tips for us to get through the day. On the day, she was INVALUABLE! She was the perfect blend of keeping us on time and just capturing moments as they happened, which is what was most important to us. Julie is fantastic to work with! She is very communicative throughout the entire process, from engagement to wedding. Our engagement session was a ton of fun, and we got the pictures back in a very reasonable amount of time. We love how the pictures turned out!
