Rachel and the entire Catered by Design team helped make our wedding a huge success! From our first tasting to the wedding day, they made the entire process easy and stress-free.
After our first tasting, we knew which entrées we wanted but were still unsure about the sides, hors d'oeuvres, and dessert selections. They happily welcomed us back for a second tasting so we could finalize our menu, which we really appreciated.
Rachel was incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process and during the final walkthrough at our venue. The staff on our wedding day was amazing and made sure both we and our guests had everything we needed.
Plus, the food was absolutely delicious! We received so many compliments from our guests. I would highly recommend Rachel and the Catered by Design team to anyone looking for exceptional food and outstanding service for their event.

We can’t thank you and the whole team from Catered by Design enough for the wonderful experience we had! Erin was so helpful throughout the whole process and make it all so easy for us. The food and desserts were fantastic! People have been telling us how much they enjoyed it all. Everything was perfect and we know who we'll be coming to in the future for all of our catering needs.

We used Catered by Design to host 140 guests at our daughter's Engagement Party. We were all incredibly impressed by the level of service and attentiveness of staff. Laura was truly an exceptional supervisor; she always seemed to be exactly where she was needed, ensuring that everything ran smoothly. The whole team worked tirelessly to make our event a success. Their professionalism and dedication did not go unnoticed by our guests. If you want someone who takes care of everything while you simply enjoy yourself, I can't recommend Catered by Design highly enough.

There's literally zero flaws to catered by design. The food was AMAZING- I've been to plenty of weddings and understand that wedding food isn't always the highlight, but for ours it really was. Rachel was so easy to work with and plan alongside from start to finish. She never made me feel like I was too much or had too many questions or requests. They are so flexible and the tasting was genuinely my favorite part of wedding planning, hands down. Every single thing they do and serve is delicious. Their team is excellent at communication, set up and tear down. They made the entire day flow seamlessly and our catering lead checked in on us consistently to make sure we had food and drinks all night. We got so many compliments on the food, desserts, the bar, and the overall service all night. I actually cannot recommend this company enough and would use them over and over again for another event or family/friends wedding. Absolutely 10/10!!!

From the very start, Catered by Design was extremely attentive and genuinely invested in our celebration. Rachel J made sure we were well taken care of. The food, the drinks, service.. everything was impeccable. All night the guests were raving about the meal, desserts, and late-night food. Absolutely was blown away by the presentation, the taste and flavors, and quality of the food and service. Even all of our Florida families approved of the snapper! Well done.

I recently got married at age 70. When searching for a caterer, my new husband and I knew exactly what we wanted for our mid- morning ceremony & reception. A delicious seated brunch buffet with options for various dietary needs was our top choice. I'm the bride and am vegan and gluten-free. The majority of our guests were not, but some had certain sensitivities. We also had a budget to work within.
When we met Erin from Catered by Design, we knew we had found the perfect caterer! Erin listened to our needs rather than offering us a package. She then wrote a proposal and waited for us to comment. When we had a menu that sounded right, she offered us a complimentary tasting. From the first bite, we knew that Catered by Design was the perfect choice.
Erin had worked with our Venue many times and her team could help with everything from set up to tear down on our Big Day.
Erin showed up during set up to make sure everything was going according to plan. She was professional, compassionate and easy to communicate with during our entire planning process.
Our wedding was magical and joyous. Everything went perfectly!
Our guests are still talking about how delicious the food was and how much they enjoyed the entire day!

We used Catered by Design this past weekend for our wedding - we couldn't have been happier with the service they provided! Sam was very responsive in the lead up to the wedding, and was very cooperative in making changes to suit our needs.
We couldn't have faulted their service in the day - the chairs looked great for the ceremony, and both the bar and lunch areas were set up perfectly. The food and drinks were delicious, and provided us with leftovers for days! The staff on the day were very helpful, and we would like to give a special shout out to our captain, Laura, for looking after us on the day.
We would happily recommend Catered by Design to anyone hosting an event in the Chicagoland area. They go above and beyond!

Catered by Design provided catering for our daughter’s bridal shower and her outdoor wedding reception. Everything was flawless for both events and CBD guided me through each decision and consideration so that our event was beautiful and well-prepared. Most importantly, the food was excellent! Great value - you get an elegantly displayed and delicious menu while maintaining a very reasonable budget. I will definitely be using CBD for my future small and larger events. It was a true pleasure!

First of all the food was delicious!
From the hors d’oeuvres to the late night bites and dessert. DELICIOUS! They paid special attention to detail. The ingredients were exceptionally fresh.
Working with Rachel was an absolute pleasure. She was so on top of things and answered every question we had from the initial email communication to our wedding week.
CBD has worked countless times at the Bridgeport Art Center and their experience truly did show. The service was amazing. Our captain Aukse was so attentive and very warm to talk to during a very hectic wedding day. The room flip was incredibly fast it was unbelievable and flawless.
My husband and I are big foodies so choosing a caterer for our wedding day was tough. Our first tasting with Rachel showed that CBD would rise to the challenge.
Long story short, we and especially our guests loved everything!!!!
We definitely recommend Catered By Design for any event. They will give you a peace of mind knowing they will deliver!

Wonderful caterer. Found on the internet, and could not have been happier. Great food, beautifully arranged trays. The German meatballs and Risole potatoes were amazing. Very courteous staff too.
