This was our second time working with Frank (Dattalo) as we've been hunting for our first single family home—the high level takeaway is that he's fantastic and you'd be in great hands working with him. For our first inspection, we booked him by chance after seeing the great reviews. Despite that deal falling apart,…
We decided to go with Chicagoland inspectors for our first time home based on the glowing reviews. We're so glad we did, and the work definitely lives up to the reviews. Glen-Carl was friendly, communicative, and incredibly thorough. He clearly explained everything about the inspection and answered all our…
We had a great experience with Frank (Dattalo) as our inspector. He was incredibly thorough and beyond that, he was a great communicator. He encouraged us to ask questions and invited genuine conversation. As we walked the property, he frequently verbalized what he was seeing—if it was as expected, or something to…
AJ was on-time, focused on his work, and provided explanations when needed. We had initially added sewer scope but upon inspection, he noted it was not possible to complete a sewer scope based on its current condition and said he would refund it. I also appreciated having a post inspection virtual walkthrough of…
We’re in the market for our first house, so wanted to get a thorough inspection of the place we liked to know what we’re getting into. Our inspector Alex arrived to the site earlier and already evaluated the house outside (including walking the roof) by the time we got there. He was extremely knowledgeable, got into…
I’ve had two back to back, really great Inspections! Josh and Alex each inspecting hundred year-old houses for me. Both guys very personable, smart, and informative. Really good communicators and they have an eye for every little detail. I used this inspection service three years ago as well!
Our home inspection experience with John was absolutely fantastic! Our inspector was incredibly thorough, knowledgeable, and professional. He took the time to carefully inspect everything, explain his findings in a way that was easy to understand, and answer all of our questions without ever making us feel rushed.…
We used Chicagoland Home Inspectors (John Olson did the inspection), and they were amazing! Very easy to schedule, very thorough and very honest company. They truly do work for you - not the realtors or process. They gave us very valuable information about a home we were considering, and we ultimately walked away…
Reasonable price We are first time home buyers and going through all the steps is overwhelming. Frank was kind , patient and thorough. He made us feel supported and we felt like he had our best interest. He answered all our questions without any judgement. We also had a very short timeline since the sellers were…
Charlie, Vince Miller, and John Olson were a fantastic team. We hired Chicagoland Home Inspectors to inspect a multi-unit home built in the 1890s as overwhelmed first-time home buyers with little knowledge and expertise. Prior to scheduling with Charlie's company, I called and he spent 45 minutes on the phone with…
I was instantly hooked by the complete transparency in working with Chicagoland. From the unabashed payment options and disclosures, throughout the inspection, and altogether bolstered by a gratuitous divulging of sincere industry wisdom, it is clear why my realtor chooses to refer his clients to work with Glen at Chicagoland Home Inspectors.
This review is well overdue by MONTHs. Vince was our scheduled inspector for a fully rehabbed home that we were so excited to be moving forward with. The cost was not cheap but I had heard that the price was worth it. The home was over 100 years old so we opted for both radon and sewer scope. Because of Vince we…
Charlie and his team did a great job of providing a thorough inspection and following-up for a discussion in greater detail for me to understand the inspection report. I highly recommend his service and will plan to use him again in the future.
Vince was our inspector and he did an amazing job. He was very thorough and level-headed in his explanations. The way he provided information was objective and not intended to scare us as home buyers. We had some follow-up questions that he was happy to answer and the report he provided had tons of details, photos,…
I highly recommend Glen-Carl and Chicagoland Home Inspectors! Glen-Carl was very detail oriented, patient, and was always checking to see if we had any questions. We ultimately decided to withdraw our offer after one of Glen-Carl's findings. Had he not brought this finding to our attention, we would have been in a…
AJ was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough during our inspection. He pointed out mold, cracks, and many other issues that I would have completely missed on my own. He took the time to explain everything clearly and was very responsive and helpful whenever I had questions.
My husband and I were paired with Vince for our first (more on that, later) home inspection. He did such an amazing job, and took the time to explain his findings and answer any questions we had. By the way, he stayed and checked every inch of the property, and was there for almost all of 5 hours. Thanks to his…
Absolutely amazing experience with Alex. Their prices are incredible especially counting the part they are absolutely very detailed in their reports with multiple photos and videos and thorough explanation on everything. Great customer service. Answered all questions patiently and kindly. I could not recommend…
Tim is so awesome an through he saved me from 3 other homes. walked away because of his findings. YEs they are pricey but I rather spend with a through inspection than land in a money pit. Cant thank you enough Tim.
Frank did an amazing job on our inspection! He was extremely thorough, took his time, answered any questions we had and explained everything so we were completely in the loop. I would 100% recommend him to anyone looking to get an inspection done in the Chicagoland area!
I had an excellent experience with my inspection. I was very happy by their thoroughness and helpfulness. I learned a lot from this experience.
Highly recommend Chicagoland Home Inspectors. We had James come by and inspect our home to determine what repairs would be needed. He meticulously checked the home and provided a report of over a hundred items that would need maintenance or serious repair and details of why those items were highlighted. He also…
Had a great experience with Mike. He was extremely thorough with the property and caught many things that could easily be overlooked. He went above and beyond to get the sewer scope service completed and overall it was a great experience.
I cannot recommend Michael enough. As a first time, younger, single homebuyer, Michael made me feel entirely equipped to own a multiunit home. There was no question that was silly to him, and he was incredibly thorough, thoughtful, friendly and professional. He explained every issue in detail and what the next steps…
John and Vince were excellent. They were extremely thorough and attentive and gave really good advice on top of providing the report of their findings. It was such a good learning experience on top of ensuring we were purchasing a good home.
Charlie and his team came highly recommended—and they truly lived up to it. From start to finish, they were thorough, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. Mike S. handled our home inspection and took the time to answer every question with patience while carefully examining every detail of the house.…
Tim and Charles are great! The website is very transparent regarding pricing, sample inspection, online scheduling, and optional add-ons. Tim came with his colleague on-time and talked us through the entire inspection, teaching us things along the way. They were professional, courteous, and thorough during the…
This was a home inspection prior to the purchase of a single family home. Mark from Chicagoland Home Inspectors was professional and knowledgeable. He was able to answer every question we had thoroughly throughout the process. He went into detail on things we were interested in, and was certainly knowledgeable…
We hired Tom Jannson to come inspect a 4 unit building in Chicago. He was accompanied by AJ (and Charlie briefly at the beginning of the inspection). I started to review inspectors shortly after having my offer accepted by the seller and am extremely grateful to have hired Chicagoland Home Inspectors. They were very…
Contacted this company for a home inspection as a perspective first time home buyer & so glad I did! Although we were unable to proceed with the purchase of the home after the findings of the inspection, my husband and I feel strongly that the money we spent was well worth it. We learned a lot from Charlie and…
Fantastic experience with Mark, really made me feel confident moving forward with my home purchase!
So this review is separated and that's why I gave it a 3. The actual inspection: I absolutely would recommend it. Yes, you pay a bit more but it is truly worth it if you consider the fact that you're making a huge investment buying a home and really want peace of mind. The inspector was EXCEPTIONALLY thorough,…
We used Chicagoland Home Inspectors for the second time to help us in the process of buying a new house. Just like our previous experience they were very professional and thorough. Mark and AJ made sure that we completely understood the information he was giving us and took the time to answer any and all questions.…
We had a wonderful experience with Chicagoland Home Inspectors and highly recommend them! From start to finish, the team was very responsive, helpful, and flexible in scheduling. Dave and AJ were extremely experienced and thorough in their inspection, which we are so grateful for. We received the report shortly…
As first time home buyers, we really had no idea what we should have been looking for. Mark and Dave (in training) were so incredibly patient and detailed. Though Dave was in training, I would have never known - so knowledgeable. We learned so much about a property that would have ended up costing us thousands of…
Throughout the entire experience, from initial contact through answering follow-up questions after the inspection, the entire team was very responsive, professional, and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to accommodate a schedule change, and stayed after the inspection to address questions. Dave I. also made…
Very responsive and professional. Mark was extremely thorough and gave me good advice on the future upkeep of the house as well. I highly recommend them.
I could not be happier with the inspection performed by Tom and Charlie on my new home. They arrived on time and spent almost 5 hours going over every detail of the house. I liked that they divided up the work according to their respective areas of expertise. Even though that meant I couldn't witness 100% of the…
John and Charlie did a great job!! They were very helpful and informative. I will be using this company again. L.Johnson
