Michael was a great instructor. He was easy to listen to and gave great tips. Got my wife and I ready for our first dance in very little time and everyone loved it! Couldn’t have done it without him.

My husband and I are taking Salsa group lessons at Effervescent. Michael, our dance teacher,
has been so much fun. He's directions are clear and easy to follow. It's been a great beginner class. With over 30 students, he makes each one of us feel seen. I highly recommend Effervescent Studios! Well be back in May for "The Hustle"

My husband and I took five dance lessons to prepare for our first dance at our wedding. We had an amazing experience with Michael as our instructor. Michael welcomed us with open arms, created all choreography, and blended the two songs we wanted to use for our dance.
Time flew by during our sessions because we were having so much fun. Even though it was my idea to take the lessons, my husband thoroughly enjoyed each session and often wondered how it was already over! It was beautiful how well he taught us nyhe movements, physically and verbally, even relating movements in sports terms to my husband 🤣
Michael prepared us well, giving us the confidence to perform in front of 100 guests at our wedding. The number of compliments we received after our dance was surreal. It truly was a special experience, and we would both highly recommend taking lessons with Michael to any couple.

This my dear gets a gold star for making me cry! 🌟🥹
I absolutely loved working with the two of you and I’m honored you trusted me along the way. From music creation to steps, I grateful you let me mold that moment with you.
And yes, sports for Gannon made me have to think out of the box. 😅

Absolutely terrible experience at Effervescent Studios in Granite City… because now I’m genuinely annoyed I didn’t start ballroom lessons here sooner.
It’s honestly frustrating walking into a studio expecting the usual awkward, low-effort group instruction and instead getting instructors who actually correct your posture, timing, and footwork like they *care* whether you improve. Very inconvenient when you were planning to stay comfortable being bad at dancing.
Also disappointing how welcoming the atmosphere is. I was fully prepared to feel intimidated, but instead the studio is supportive, structured, and somehow makes learning ballroom feel possible even if you start with zero experience. Not what I signed up for.
And now I’m stuck recommending Effervescent Studios to people in Granite City who keep saying they want to learn how to dance but never do anything about it. If you want real instruction, real progress, and instructors who actually pay attention to you, this is unfortunately the place to go.
Would not recommend… unless you actually want to get better at dancing. 💃🔥
I can't say enough about how great this studio is. Michael is absolutely the best. He keeps the classes fun and easy to learn. I just love this new dance family we found.
