My experience with this company was wonderful. They were professional, on time and extremely careful moving my furniture. I was lucky they sent out David who was very experienced with someone less experienced, that is always extremely helpful! I’ll definitely use them for my next move.

Our movers were outstanding! Very efficient and careful with our things. Super nice and easy to work with as well. The owner was great; communicated quickly via text messaging and was very accommodating when scheduling our move. Grateful we found such a fantastic moving company!

Disappointing and Frustrating Moving Experience If I could give Electric Monkey Movers zero stars, I would. Before the move, I provided a detailed Excel inventory listing 75 items. I was quoted $1,350 for one truck, 2–3 movers, and six hours, and was told everything could be moved in one trip. Only two movers arrived, and they quickly said everything would not fit. The office offered to return the next day for another $1,350, which I declined. Approximately 25 items were left behind, and I had to move them myself. The two-person crew took 10 hours to move about 50 items. Several important belongings were mishandled or not properly checked after setup: • Our $10,000 Sleep Number bed has not worked correctly since the move. • Electronics for our reclining sectional were not packed with the couch and are still missing. • The key to my wife’s secure office filing cabinet was misplaced, leaving us unable to access the files. We were billed for 10 hours at $125 per hour from start time to end time, plus $150 for a 45-minute drive. We also provided the crew with food, drinks, and breaks totaling about 45 minutes. So looks like we were double billed for 1.5 hours. In addition, we were charged an undisclosed 5% credit-card fee. I contacted the owner or manager several times about these concerns, but nothing was resolved. Based on the inaccurate estimate, additional costs, missing items, improper handling, and lack of follow-up, I cannot recommend Electric Monkey Movers.
Rhett, I’m sorry the move was frustrating, but I want to clarify several points. The inventory you provided did not include two refrigerators and several other items present on moving day. Those additions affected the available truck space and the time required. Had I known the move would require two truckloads and trips, the estimate would have been higher. The estimate you signed explains that it is an estimate, with final charges based on actual time. The final moving charge was approximately $50 above what I had estimated for loading a full 26 foot truck and delivering it to Mountain Home. Our two-person rate is $125 per hour. A third mover would have increased the hourly rate, although it could have reduced the time needed\. The $150 truck fee is separate from hourly labor. Driving between your pickup and delivery locations is part of the work, so those two charges do not constitute double billing. Our crew deducts time when they stop working for a sit down meal. Grabbing food while continuing to work is different. Jared confirmed that he rounded the billed time down by 15 minutes to account for eating. Regarding the Sleep Number bed, there is no visible damage. That does not dismiss your concern about its operation, but it also does not establish what caused the issue. Our movers handle standard disassembly and reassembly; diagnosing specialized electronic systems may require a Sleep Number technician which you stated but this is out of our wheelhouse. Had you used us on day two we would have been happy to try and figure it out though. A more constructive conversation could have given us an opportunity to discuss returning, helping with the remaining items, and checking the bed’s connections. We could also have discussed a discounted rate for that additional work. I did not personally quote another $1,350 for a return trip, and additional work would have been estimated based on the time needed. Other payment methods were available besides credit card. I understand that you also reported missing couch components and a cabinet key, but I cannot confirm what happened to those items from the information available\. I acknowledge that the estimate did not fully capture the scope of the move. However, the additional inventory and actual work performed are important context\. A difference between estimated and actual time does not, by itself, make the charges improper or justify a refund.

My move took almost an entire day and 3 of their movers. They completed the job with utmost care and efficiency (not to mention, they were just lovely guys in general!). They were SO wonderful, and also even advocated for me when they noticed some things that didn't look right as far as my furniture/things from when they had been in storage (and thanks to them will now be filing a claim w my insurance - which I wouldn't have thought to do without their help). I will 1000% recommend this company to everyone I know needing any of their services!
