My 12 year old son has been taking piano lessons with Evan for a little over a year and he has learned so much. I like that Evan teaches the kind of music that my son hears and wants to play. I grew up learning classical and frankly it bored me right out of lessons! Evan is a multi instrumentalist with a gentle skill with timid kids, it works for us!
My six year old son has been taking weekly piano lessons for about six months with Evan. He enjoys going to the lessons and has already learned a lot in such a short amount of time. Evan is easily reachable via text and very accommodating for any schedule changes. The academy's location is really convenient for those that live around the Ladera Ranch area.

Evan has taken my son’s guitar playing to another level. What was so nice Evan’s teaching style is he lets the student play what he/she wants to play. It keeps the student engaged in their style. A great experience for anyone!
What a great experience! My kids love taking Piano and Guitar lessons at Evan's Music Academy. My son had previously taken guitar lessons at a different music school and the lessons were very dry and technical. No so at Evan's! They are learning the same necessary technical stuff but with the additional benefit of engaging lessons. They get to play popular songs they hear on the radio starting on day one and it helps to make them feel accomplished and gives them the motivation they need to work on the technical details. I recommend Evan's Music Academy to anyone looking for music lessons that are both challenging and creative.
I have been taking lessons for almost 10 month with Evan. I switched because my other teacher didn't have good communication with me and didn't help a lot. Evan on the other hand has been super helpful and I am super happy that he is my teacher. I truly recommend him as an instructor.
