I've been Mark's student for nearly 2 years now. I'm constantly impressed by his patience and knowledge. When I started I had never touched a guitar before Since then I've developed a strong understanding of chords, scales, reading music, finger picking, etc and feel confident enough to play in front of others. I couldn't recommend Mark enough.

Mark is a superb bass instructor - technically sound offering a great balance between music theory, practice, and technique. I have been playing the instrument for a long time and Mark definitely taught me many new things and challenged me greatly on my playing ability.

When we started looking for guitar lessons for our son, we wanted the best in OC, and we found it! Hamrock Music is a gem! Mark is an excellent, talented, and experienced guitar teacher who uses a clear strategy so students develop proper technique. He is patient, encouraging, and keeps students motivated with clear practice plans while keeping the music fun. From day one, Mark asked about our son’s musical preferences and built lessons around them to keep him engaged. His experience really shows, and our son is excited for his lesson every week. Highly recommend Hamrock Music. If you are considering lessons, you will really enjoy learning guitar here!

Mark is an excellent music teacher. From the beginning he had me set goals and then met me where I was at with my current skill level. From there he has continued to foster my growth as a musician, both in learning my instrument and in understanding how music works.

Mark is a great guitar teacher! Whatever you want to learn, he is super supportive and knowledgeable. I'm an adult student and I've progressed super well on the things I wanted to improve on through his lessons. I thoroughly enjoy going to lessons and would recommend him to anyone.
