Took almost 4 weeks that should have taken 1. Do not use, this company, they were recommended to me but I do not recommend them. After all that they had the nerve to ask for more work from me.

I try not to be overly critical of small businesses, but I do feel like I was taken advantage of by Expert Water Removal and feel compelled to share my experience.
We had an HVAC Evap line draining into an exterior wall for an undetermined amount of time. We called Expert to see if they could tell us if there was any mold present behind the wall. Our salesman, Jason, could not tell us that. Instead, he measured the moisture content of the wall as an indicator of conditions where mold could be and determined the wall needed to be excised as a result of his moisture measurements. He gave me a quote for approximately $2,400 for the removal of around 40 square foot of drywall, insulation (there was no insulation), and substrate, kill any mold, if present, and to rent a dehumidifier and air filter for a couple days. Given I could have done this myself in about 3 hours, I asked why I would pay Expert thousands to do it for me. Jason sold me on the team setting up an elaborate floor-to-ceiling containment zone in my living room to prevent any dust or mold from escaping the affected area, the technician using saws with built in HEPA filtration, and using sealed bags inside the containment zone to walk the contaminated debris out of my house without exposing anyone or anything to the dust or mold. Since my wife and I had been suffering respiratory issues for about a month at that point - we thought it would be enough of a value add to go with it.
Unfortunately, none of that happened. A technician - who was very nice and professional - did not build any type of containment zone or make any effort at mitigating dust of mold from spreading around. He did not use specialty saws and instead used a sawzall in combination with some type of pry-bar in what was probably the most destructive method possible aside from maybe a sledgehammer. Once I noticed dust in the air from my office, I walked out to the living room and noticed the complete disregard for the entire reason we went with Expert. I made Jason aware of the breach of the scope of the project. He did not respond to me but instead contacted the technician who put up a containment zone AFTER removing the wall.
I'd escalated my concern a few times over the forthcoming week seeking an adjustment to my invoice to reflect the work that actually occurred which included a laborer perform work for around 6-hours plus the equipment rental, and whatever supplies were used - like the bulk spray or saw blades. Scott, a manager, apologized and took $500 off my invoice. That's not exactly "nothing", but it also isn't meaningful enough to reflect the fact I never would have used this service if this was what was going to be provided. It also still reflects an insane margin for the work that was completed.
In the end, I paid $1,920 (about $50 per square foot) for six hours of labor, plus a couple days of renting a dehumidifier and filter, and maybe a dollar or two of bulk mold-killer spray. If Scott adjusted my invoice to reflect the six hours at $75/hr plus a few hundred bucks for the rental and maybe another hundred or two for supplies ($1,000-$1,200) - That would seem like a fair compromise to me, and I wouldn't have said anything. But to need to still make multiple-hundreds of percent margin on a customer that didn't even receive the service he was promised seems unethical to me. Hence, the lengthy review. If you're reading this, sorry you're dealing with a wet situation. If you're handy, I'd strongly consider just doing this yourself and saving thousands.

And I have three company vehicles of my own and I always expect them every single day. Before I drive them to make sure the tail lights and headlights are properly working. Also I use my turn signals because if I'm driving for my job I'm going to drive absolutely correct not like a jackass

We had a small area of organic growth in the corner of a windowsill that was highly suspicious for mold. It did not look to be too serious as the area was very small and there was no increase in growth from June until September but we wanted to get the area evaluated just to be safe . We had a mold restoration company come out the day prior and quoted us $2,500 for demo/cleaning, we would be responsible for repairing/repainting! Wendell Who came by, looked at the area, the pictures from June until now and saw that there wasn’t any progression in growth and could be taken care of for a fraction of the original quote. Five star rating for not taking advantage of a situation of an area that was very obviously organic growth and running with it and instead providing a simple quick easy solution.
