This review is only for the ballroom dance activity. The reason for the 1 star is the floor is TOO STICKY to dance safely. We had to stop attending these dances because we don't want to hurt our knees and ankles. We're informed the front desk of the situation several times and asked that the floor be rinsed with water but they said they cannot.

I like the Heart Meditation group on Mondays. Not only do they have many activities, there is support for seniors.

Came in for assistance with a utility dispute, and they referred me to another city-run facility in Greenhaven that was able to help right away. They have PUC connections, so there's clout there. When we were finished with them, they owed ME money! But, back to Hart, they're really professional, helpful and courteous and will help you in any way they can. It's not just a place to come eat free food. I hear the exercise classes are great for seniors. That's worth checking out, for sure.
UPDATE: Recently started the "Strength and Balance" class for seniors. They meet three times a week at 9:00 am, and after five weeks of consistency, I've noticed a change in both. Two lovely women run the class, Marilyn and Judith - which helps keep the momentum - and consists of 48 exercises in 40 minutes. Highly recommended for any senior who wants to get back (or stay) into the swing of things and prevent falls.
