Hartney Greymont was so great to work with that we used them for three different projects! Jon Quinn, our arborist, led a team of hard-working and dedicated staff who completed the projects in a timely fashion. The team pruned our towering oak trees, planted an array of different trees and plants, mulched the…
Jon Quinn, an arborist at Hartney, has done a number of jobs for us during the past few months. We were extremely impressed by a number of things. Jon is a prompt, thorough and thoughtful communicator. He has given us some recommendations and advice about how to prolong the life of a number of our trees under…
Hartney Greymont is awesome all around. From George to Tony and all the men who trim my trees and bushes. Tony is my guy who sprays for the ticks and mosquitos in my yard. He is meticulous and careful in the areas I ask for; and he's such a nice young man. I have used Hartney Greymont for everything as long as I…
We had a large tree wedged between several buildings. We needed an assessment of the tree's health as well as a plan for trimming. John Quinn came out and gave us an assessment as well as a proposed plan (vs other proposals which said cut down the tree). The crew arrived as planned, worked all day, and delivered the…
Crew was great, hard working, efficient, knowledgeable, friendly. Had several trees removed and other trees pruned. Satisfied with the work and how clean the site was after they were done.
Professional organization that takes pride in their work.
they are the best!!! i have my hemlocks treated and fertilized yearly!!! excellent workers! very happy with them! Bonnie always lets me know ahead when services are going to be done
Ed and Ryan did a wonderful job trimming a split limb from our red maple. They were also able to keep an adjacent limb intact and pruned off the bitter sweet vines that were pulling it down. They also left the yard debris free.
Hartney Greymont is the best. They are reasonably priced and do excellent work. For my job, they sent out an arborist, Jon Quinn, to assess the situation. Once we agreed on the work, Jon went over everything, sent a written summary with a quote, and then carefully directed the on-site crew. Jon is extremely…
Highly recommended by a friend and neighbor. It's very clear why! Very easy to schedule both the consultation and the work. Very knowledgeable staff. I was very pleased with the results and am in the process of hiring them again to do landscaping and some additional pruning. Adding to this post because I'd like to…
I have been receiving Hartney's services since 2016, and I can say that they are reliable and experts in many aspects of the garden. They work with you to set priorities and develop a plan that aligns with your goals and budget.
We had a great experience with Hartney. They did an excellent job pruning the trees around our house, communicated clearly throughout the process, showed up on time, and completed the work exactly as promised. The results looked fantastic, and the whole property feels cleaner and safer. Professional, reliable, and easy to work with — highly recommend!
Jonathan Quinn came out as scheduled and completed the pruning work we had discussed. He was professional, on time, and did the job as agreed. Everything was handled efficiently, and the communication beforehand was clear. Thank you Jon for getting the work done.
We had a fantastic experience with Hartney Greymont! Our arborist, Jonathan Quinn, was incredibly helpful and easy to work with from start to finish. He took the time to answer and anticipate my questions. The team did an excellent job on our hemlocks and Japanese maple. The team really take pride in their work. Highly recommend!
On Monday during the blizzard a huge branch from our Norway spruce cracked and fell on our patio. On Tuesday, I spoke with Hartney Greymont and within 20 minutes of my call, Jonathan Quinn was at our house inspecting the damage. On Wednesday morning Jon sent us a quote outlining the suggested work. By Friday the…
We hired Hartney Greymont to install cabling in a tall pine tree and prune our 50+ year-old elm, and they did excellent work on both. The crew was professional and knowledgeable, carefully explaining the process and leaving the trees looking healthier. Highly recommend for expert care of mature trees.
Wonderful team, great service and high quality work with tree pruning and fertilizing. Jonathan Quinn is also a terrific communicator.
Your crew was excellent. Very professional. They did a great job and the clean up was excellent after they were done.
Efficient courteous knowledgeable and skilled crew
We recently moved into our own home and were lucky enough to be connected to Jon Quinn at Hartney Greymont to assess and care for our property. He is a fantastic, knowledgeable, and professional arborist. I can't speak highly enough about Jon's base of knowledge, not to mention his excellent communication skills.…
Hartney did an excellent pruning job on all of our trees and shrubs. Jon Quinn diagnosed the issues with several of our trees and offered appropriate remediations. He responded to all of my questions, set up a pruning time that was convenient for us, and provided guidance to the pruning crew to make sure the job was completed to our satisfaction.
We couldn’t be happier with the incredible pruning job that Hartney Pruning and their team—Mike and Alana—did in our front and back garden yesterday. They are, without question, the most customer-focused and genuinely friendly crew we’ve ever worked with. From start to finish, they were complete pros—skilled,…
Jon Quinn was awesome to work with. I received cheaper quotes elsewhere but chose Jon because of his extreme care and attention to detail. In my 20 minute consultation, I learned more about my trees and garden than in living in my house for 8 years!
Hartney-Greymont has taken good care of my trees and plantings for a long time—everything from yearly nutrient infusions and artful pruning to taking down old trees with a minimum of fuss. Their arborist Jon Quinn has been a pleasure to work with—personable, professional, and for good measure unflappable. He…
Overall, an excellent result! A month or so ahead of the work, we really appreciated Jonathan’s willingness to iterate with us until we had a proposal that met our needs. Communication about the likely service date was timely. After the crew did its first day of work, Jon returned to the site and was very…
Brad Gould and his crew - Mike Tilton, Jeff Dufore, and Andrew Milton - did a terrific job pruning birch, dogwood, a Japanese maple as well as taming unruly pines and overgrown maples - from estimate thrugh finished work, efficient, timely, thorough, pristine. I couldn't be more pleased. Jane Strekalovsky
I've worked with Hartney Greymont for almost 40 years, and there service has always been outstanding.
excelllent
Very professional top notch company. Working with this company was a pleasure. Had a verbal quote when Joshua came on site and a written quote with in 24 hours for a job that had multiple projects. Every employee I met was great and very hard working. A special thank you to the entire staff.
Outstanding work. They are arborists, not "tree cutters."
We had a great experience with Hartney Greymont. The team is professional and responsive. We have used the company for lawn maintenance and backyard landscaping and couldn't be happier with both services. The team was professional, friendly and completed the job on time.
Dan and his crew at Hartney Greymont are terrific. Communication is excellent, they always show up when they say they will, and the work is always performed in a professional manner and in a friendly way. The quality of the work is excellent and Dan knows his business well.
After a fabulous experience with HG’sJason Weksner, who designed and supervised the planting of a magnificent yew hedge along the front of our property in 2020, we decided in 2023 that we were ready for more. Jason, who by this time was working a different location, was still wonderfully helpful. He introduced us…
Hartney Greymont is an all-round top-notch landscaping company. Not only do they provide excellent tree care, they help with the selection of shrubs and their maintenance as well as lawn care. The crews are on-time, efficient and courteous. The district manager is highly responsive, friendly and extremely…
They are true arborists, knowledgeable, professional, friendly and go the xtra mile.
In rating a tree company, we would consider the following: 1. Is their arborist truly concerned about how trimming will affect the trees? 2. Are their recommendations reasonable and likely to have the desired outcome? 3. Is their estimate in line with other local tree services? 4. Are they willing to reschedule…

Did a great job under senior supervision at a fair price
Daniel Cohen, Arborist, provided a complimentary consultation. Three large trees were trimmed. A brace cable was added to the double-trunk elm tree, to prevent the trunks from separating in a storm. Staff was prompt and precise. Excellent results.
