Hip Hounds

I love hip hounds and so does my husky! He comes home tired from all the playtime with the other furbabies. Plus, I love that I can watch him on the cam. That gives me a lot of reassurance that he’s in good hands :) We are definitely returning customers who come for boarding.

This was our first time boarding our dogs at Hip Hounds and we are definitely coming back! The communication was amazing, I felt extremely comforted and without worry during my trip. I am so thankful for ya'll and will definitely recommend you and be back in the future!

We've been sending our dog Brie there since we got her in 2017. Wonderful people and a wonderful place for our pup.

My husband and I were going to be out of the country for almost two weeks and needed some last minute help with our puppy, Stanley, since our original plans fell through less than a week before we were supposed to leave. We called Hip Hounds and they were able to get Stanley in for an immediate evaluation. They… Read full review

Hip Hounds has my vote for best dog boarding facility, hands down! I love that my dog has so much free play time and she isn’t in a kennel for 20 hours a day. My favorite part? The webcams! I get to take a look at what’s going on when she’s there and it always brings a smile to my face. The Hip Hounds crew is amazing and I’m so grateful for what they do!

We used hip hounds for the first time for our dog Waylon for over a week a boarding and he had the time of his life. We loved being able to see him on the cameras during the day and he was always wagging his tail and happy. We will be coming here whenever we go out of town in the future! He also came home smelling clean and fresh from his exit bath!

Michael and the friendly, caring staff at Hip Hounds have created an exceptional daycare and boarding experience, and our pup always leaves happy. Highly recommend!

Great place for bording

We have regularly used Hip Hounds for the past eight years, and have always felt comfortable leaving our dogs with Mike and his staff. Mike is always helpful, friendly and communicative.

Our dog loves her visits to Hip Hounds, and the staff is always on top of communications and caring for our dog when we travel.

Our two pups loveee their doggy day care spot! They always come back tired and ready to sleep for days haha. Definitely recommend this place for your fur babies. They even accommodated us for certain situations. We’ve been here for several years. Literally are pups second home! Don’t hesitate.

Wonderful place for my pup. Always so welcoming. Juni loves Hip Hounds.Michael and his team are the best.

I have been bringing Maya Anjalou for the past year. And I am very well pleased Maya recognizes the building and she gets excited. That is a good sign.It is very clean when I watch Maya through the cameras if one of the babies goes potty it is immediately attend to. I also like that with her boarding comes play time all day.I recommend this facility.

ove them been going for years and they are great

We have been bringing our dogs the Hip Hounds for twenty years now for both daycare and overnight boarding for seven days or more. Michael and his staff are professional and our pets are always well looked after. Our current furry baby loves to go and always drags us to the door.

We have been using them over 4 years and absolutely love them! We now take our Dalmatian girl to them and she has a blast! We love being able to see her on camera having the time of her life with other dogs! The staff is always amazing and helpful!! Always make us and Quinn feel welcomed! We will rave about them… Read full review

The employees are great and my dogs love to stay here.

Hip Hounds is the BEST!! We’ve been taking our dogs here for 15+ years!! Absolutely love them 🙌 Hilary and Jesse

We love Hip Hounds and most importantly so does our dog (Grandpa). It's easy to book, close to our house and the price is great! Grandpa (the dog) goes once a week. We swear he knows what day Thursday is because he is ready to go when he gets up. If we even say the word "daycare", he goes nuts and starts whining… Read full review

We really like Hip Hounds for our puppy. All the staff are great and easy to work with. I highly recommend HipHounds for dog care.

We love Hip Hounds

Hip hounds is such an amazing dog daycare! I highly recommend this place. They are so sweet and my dog has so much fun! I love how they have inside and outside area for the dogs, so the dogs can enjoy the sun if they want! 10/10 recommend!

We LOVE Hip Hounds! We've been going there for over 8 years. We use the boarding services maybe a couple times a year and Michael always remembers us, just making us feel welcomed and safe leaving our dog there. Even after moving a little further away, we have yet to find a place we enjoy more than Hip Hounds and go out of our way to leave our dog here.

Mike and his crew have taken care of Lucy numerous times and have always been reliable and honest with us. Highly recommend this small locally-owned business!

We have been trusting Hip Hounds with our pups since it opened!!! Any time anyone asks about doggie daycare or boarding - Hip Hounds is who I recommend.

We've tried other kennels but we like Hip Hounds the best. They are really good with the doggies and very nice and helpful to the parents.

I have boarded my dogs at hip hounds for years and have had a great experience! My dogs are my babies.. and I have no stress or anxiety when leaving my boys there for a weekend or a week.

Hip Hounds is great! The staff is super friendly! I love knowing my pups aren’t cooped up in a crate or kennel all day. We’ve used them for over 4 years and couldn’t be happier!

We love bringing my dog here! He always has such a great time playing with his dog friends, and I love being able to check the camera throughout the day and see him having fun. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing he’s happy and getting plenty of playtime and socialization. The send home baths and other… Read full review

Hip Hounds is amazing. Not only is it locally owed and operated, but everyone who works there treats you like family. The owner, Michael, and his staff are truly phenomenal and genuinely care about the wellbeing of the animals they look after. I can’t recommend Hip Hounds enough!

We have been using Hip Hounds for a few months now and our dog seems to enjoy his time there. He is happy when we get there and we can see him through the webcams playing throughout the day. I also liked that they evaluated our less social dog and declined to accept her. It shows me that they do their homework to… Read full review

I really am glad to have Hip Hounds close by for my dog boarding needs. I’ve used other businesses in the past, but Hip Hounds goes above and beyond. I suspect my dog enjoys staying there too. When we pull up, he pulls on the leash to go in and is happy - no hesitation to knowing he’s about to be dropped off for a… Read full review

The staff is very positive/ helpful, and my dogs always look like they’re having a great time on the live video feed!

I can't say enough about Hip Hounds. The owner Michael is just an all around amazing individual and that shines through in his business. My dogs love coming here and almost never want to come home after being with Michael and his team.

Our dog loved her stay. The check in process is smooth and easy.

LOVE Hip Hounds! I moved too far away and I miss going so much, my pup Alfred does too! They take the best care of the doggies and always loved the caring staff there. If ever I find myself back in Round Rock I’ll be sure to use their services again! 🐾

I have boarded my dogs at Hip Hounds for several years. The staff was and is very helpful and accommodating. Plus it is apparent that they love dogs and enjoy interacting with them. I never worry when Molly and Rosie are left at Hip Hounds.

Only place I trust to leave my furbabies. My Skips and Wheezy are Covid puppies and do not care for human companionship or affection other than those in my household. When I leave them at hip hounds I miss them but know they are in good hands. I like how structured everything is and being able to see them on camera from time to time provides reassurance.

Update 2026. The quality and professionalism has only increased. This is the only place I would take my dog and recommended them to friends all the time. Just plain awesome. These folks love the work they do and they have even saved me a couple times when I had to last minute board my dog. We have tried a few… Read full review

My pups have been boarding at Hip Hounds for many years and the staff takes incredible care of them. They are happy dogs when I drop them off. Toby loves his hip hounds family :) he comes here for daycare, overnight boarding & grooming. 5 starts on each one! He is always such a sleepy boy after daycare or boarding, a tell tale sign he is having a blast there. Have always been so happy with his grooming sessions as well! Thank you hip hounds :)

We’ve had a wonderful experience with Hip Hounds! Our Lab absolutely loves going and gets so excited every time we pull up. I honestly think he loves the staff even more than the other dogs! It’s clear they genuinely care about the dogs and it’s such a relief knowing he’s happy, well cared for, and excited to be… Read full review

We had to find boarding for our rescue dog, Nova, at the last minute after our original sitter fell through right before the July 4th holiday. We love Hip Hounds and we never utilize anyone else to board our beloved 120 lb lab! They’re always attentive, responsive and patient. The cameras are a big plus for us to be able to see our pooch when we’re out of town. We know we can trust Hip Hounds to keep him safe and happy.

I would recommend this place to leave you dogs! I really appreciated it the complementary evaluation and the complementary day as well. I’m also grateful that they were able to take my dog in on such short notice. The only thing I would suggest is to provide video/photo updates, especially during the evaluation day, but other than that, I liked it.

I had a trial day, and was supposed to board my dog for 3 days. I only ended up having to board her one night and she was at the doggie day care for a day and a half. The staff was super nice and worked with my dog so well. She had never been to doggie day care or been boarded so she was super nervous, but they… Read full review

Hip hounds always is helpful and happy. I’m so glad I can trust them with my pups.

Hip Hounds is my sweet babies home away from home. Michael has been amazing. Six years ago when my 28-year-old daughter put in ICU three weeks and unfortunately, I lost her Michael Took care of my sweet puppy at no charge. I don’t know a company that would’ve done that he has always been so helpful supportive and I… Read full review

Our pup has loved his time at Hip Hounds! They offered a free evaluation day which went great, and then we boarded him later that week for one night. He has always seemed happy and in good spirits at pick up time. Their webcams are also great to have bookmarked, and we're looking forward to a longer stay in the future. Thank you, Hip Hounds!

Best dog boarding around and the best price. My dog is always happy when we drop her off.

The staff are absolutely the best. My dog always gets excited when we arrive. I love the webcam, its such a reassurance.

Michael and staff have an amazing operation going. I’ve had multiple dogs there for boarding and play days. Just recently, Sam did an incredible job grooming my golden retriever. I highly recommend Hip Hounds for boarding, grooming, or if your dog just needs a day to hang out and play with other dogs.

Friendly staff, always feel good about having my dog stay at Hip Hounds. Really like that they have cameras I can access to check in on my fur baby during her visit.

I have used Hip Hounds for close to 20 years. Michael and his staff are awesome and have taken great care of all of our dogs over the years. My dogs get so excited the minute the car turns on Picadilly because they know they are going to have fun! Highly recommend!

Mike and team are incredible! I’ve now taken 3 dogs there over a span of at least 10 years - the latest being a 4month old puppy. I’ve never had a bad experience and my dogs absolutely LOVE going and always leave wagging their tails. I 100% trust them and will always stay loyal!

Hip Hounds is the best! The staff is so attentive and accommodating - especially Michael! Our pups, Jules & Rhett love staying at Hip Hounds so much, they are full of excitement when we drop them off!

Our pups love it here!!

I’ve boarded my dog here several times over the last few years—from a few days to a couple weeks at a time. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and my dog always seems to be happy when I drop her off and pick her up.

Our dogs love Hip Hounds! They are so excited at drop off. It’s great they have so much playtime. We enjoy the webcams and watching them while they are there. Staff is professional and accommodating

Hip Hounds are the coolest people! Michael has always been helpful and kind. We know they love our fur babies.

Hip Hounds is amazing! Michael and his staff really care about our dogs. Our dogs love it there and it’s so great to have piece of mind when traveling. Thank you all for all the great work you do!

They are awesome . And so attentive to our pup. He loves going there. The staff is great. Been going to them a good few years now and always pleased with them

It’s great place to leave pets.strongly recommend using it.

Amazing place that takes care of our pup so well. We joke and say wait, who's getting a better vacation - us or our dog whenever we go out of town and leave our dog with HipHounds...

We love Hip Hounds! Our pup Bailey loves it too. She gets so excited when we round the corner into the parking lot and she comes home exhausted from all of the play time she has while she’s there. It’s unusual to find a boarding place which allows the dogs to free play during the day without hidden upcharges. But… Read full review

If I need to leave my dog Laika anywhere, this is where it will be. Gives me peace of mind. My sister has been boarding her dogs here for years as well. Never an issue!

I can’t say enough good things about HipHounds. We had a family emergency and they took our dog Ruby even though we didn’t know when we would be returning. They took fantastic care of her and she got a bath.

I love this place! Everyone is so nice and friendly and they take great care of my dog! They even offer a live streaming service as well as grooming! They also have affordable prices, you can opt for a daycare experience or boarding! I highly recommend checking them out!

We have been bringing our pup to hip hounds for 3 years! The have been so awesome I will never change my dogs day care!

This is the only boarding place we have ever used for our pets. They have always taken great care of our pets and our pets always seem to have a really good time. I love that we’re able to check on them with the cameras. We will continue to use them for any boarding needs that we have.

Hip Hounds Dog Boarding is such a peaceful, loving place for dogs. You can feel right away that the staff truly care — calm energy, genuine kindness, and lots of attention for each pup. Michael and his team are great; my dogs have been going to Hip Hounds for years and they love it! They give special care to my socially awkward jack russell rescue who needs extra love and attention, and they have always been willing and flexible when changes arise.

Very friendly, kind and care so much about the doggies. My dog has such a great time and comes home tired!

Hip Hounds has been our go-to for over 8 years now and there is nowhere else I would even consider taking our dogs. Michael runs an amazing business and ensures a great experience for his furry and not furry customers every time!
