I purchased two Hot Springs hot tubs from Chris a few years ago. Up front he was super helpful and promised to assist with any issues we had that would be covered under warranty. We even wrote a positive review. Last week I had a warranty problem and he told me “I just sell them, you need to contact Jeff, the HotSprings warranty rep.” Super disappointing. We previously had a negative experience with Jeff, when we had to repair the same hot tub under warranty a year earlier. Be warned, they will not cover warranty issues if you are purchasing for a rental property. (Despite telling me they would be covered when I purchased…) This information came directly from Jeff. Both he and Chris 100 percent knew I have rental properties. Unfortunately, in a small market like Santa Fe, some businesses think it’s ok to treat customers poorly because there aren’t a ton of options. But there is at least one other good option! Cliff at Hot Tubs de Santa Fe. He was kind, professional, local and solved our problem.
Thank you for sharing your concerns. While we are disappointed to see this characterization of your experience, we do want to clarify a few points. We have always been willing to assist our customers, but manufacturer warranty claims are subject to Hot Spring’s warranty terms and eligibility requirements. As a dealer, we do not have the authority to override those requirements or determine whether a particular claim is covered. Jeff however, isn't employed with the manufacturer, he is a local authorized repair technician hesitant to offer further services to you due to your prior unpaid trip charge when Jeff went above and beyond to service your hot tub on a Sunday. Referring you to the appropriate authorized Hot Spring warranty technician was not an attempt to avoid responsibility; it was the proper process for addressing a warranty matter. We also take exception to the suggestion that we knowingly misrepresented warranty coverage for rental properties. Warranty eligibility is governed by the manufacturer’s terms, and circumstances involving commercial or rental use can affect coverage. We would never intentionally promise coverage that is outside the manufacturer’s warranty provisions. We certainly understand your frustration if you received an answer you did not expect, particularly given your previous experience. However, it is unfair to suggest that we treated you poorly or intentionally misled you simply because the manufacturer’s warranty requirements did not meet your expectations. Although we are the same company, Santa Fe and Albuquerque operate independently of each other. Rather than keeping your business local, both purchases were made at our Albuquerque location but the negative review is reflected on the Santa Fe location which has had no interaction with you prior to this review. We appreciate that you chose to purchase two spas from us and that you previously had a positive experience. We regret that this situation changed your perception of our business. We remain committed to treating our customers professionally while also being transparent with any limitations of manufacturer warranties.

Tony was great; answered all our questions and was very low pressure about the sales pitch. He never tried to upsell us on various add-ons as other places had. After the purchase he came by and helped walk me through the setup and the system itself. I don't think you can beat the quality and price of the hot tubs Tony has to offer. If you're considering a hot tub definitely stop by.
The best! Tony Romilly was perfect in helping us learn about features and choices when we inquired to purchase a spa/hot tub. His style is not high-pressure sales. Instead, much preferably, he served us as an informative teacher/advisor. When we selected a Highlife Aria hot tub, everything flowed easily: installation was exactly on the date we expected, and the installation crew (Jorge and Aldo - plus David, who operated a crane to lift the hot tub over our home into a fenced back area) were knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Tony gave simple instructions to get us started for immediate usage and then arranged to visit us several days later to get the salt system started and to teach us details. This has been a very happy experience for us.
