Do you know what it feels like to love your home but still feel like something is missing?
We wanted to transform our home, but we did not know how to bring all the pieces together or manage the many moving parts of a major renovation. Housemill Design helped us turn that uncertainty into a clear vision and a home we truly love.
What began as a first-floor renovation grew into a comprehensive refresh of our entire home. The project included new flooring upstairs and down, a fully updated kitchen with new cabinets and countertops, a redesigned fireplace and mantle, fresh interior paint, new lighting, furniture, accessories, and all the finishing details that made every space feel cohesive and complete.
From the beginning, Lauren and her team took the time to understand how we wanted our home to feel. They helped us create a design that was beautiful, personal, and true to us. Lauren brought thoughtful, creative ideas and an exceptional ability to see how every element could work together.
Her team also managed the project with care. They coordinated the many moving parts, provided thoughtful oversight, and gave us the patience and support needed to keep everything moving smoothly.
Throughout the process, they were responsive to our questions, feedback, and changing needs. They worked diligently around our timelines, communicated clearly, and consistently went above and beyond. We always felt heard, supported, and confident that they were invested in getting every detail right, not simply getting the project done.
The result is a home that feels brighter, more polished, and completely refreshed while still feeling warm and unmistakably like us. We absolutely love it.

From the outset, I felt like the HouseMill team really understood our vision, and they kept listening to us throughout the process. I never felt pressured to make a decision I wasn’t totally comfortable with. The team was patient, accommodating, and fun!
I had an ambitious timeline and they made it happen. If anything, they were out ahead of me the whole time, prompting me to make decisions so that we could stick to the timeline that I’d asked for.
I highly recommend HouseMill.

Working with House Mill Design and our designer, Whitney, was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. They really took the time to understand our style, how we live, and what we wanted for our home to feel like and then elevated it in ways that made our vision a reality.
