Sam did a great job of analyzing the problem and explaining that a new water heater was needed. The installation was done just 24 hours later and was done very professionally. Howald is our new favorite plumbing, A/C and heating specialist.
Took his time. Replaced the pipes on top and straightened the ones in back. Put sheets down everwhere to keep things clean. Looks so much better than what was before!!! Thanks Howald!!!
Brandon W was very thorough, sought out the problem, and then replaced the outside spigot at our request. A year ago Brandon replaced our water heater that was leaking and replaced a poorly installed bladder done by another company. He has also replaced bathroom faucets and drains for us. He’s a great guy and does a…
Good service, knowledgeable and skilled service person.
Sam found a problem unrelated to my appointment.
Luke was great! He was here about 45 minutes and checked the furnace. Enjoy having this service agreement so there are no surprises!
We have been loyal customers of Larry Howald since he started his plumbing division. Will have to think about it in the future. The estimate stated 6 hour job and $1,300. The job actually took 2 1/2 hours and I asked for a “review” of the charges. I was told it was a fixed rate, not an hourly rate. Seems inconsistent.
We have had Daniel Core as our HVAC technician several times in a row. Without question he has been the most knowledgeable tech we've ever had. He's informative and actually educates us so that we fully understand the status of our equipment and what the future needs might look like for the equipment.
Very efficient and thorough great tech
Josh was prompt, friendly and professional. He explained what he was doing. We have used Howald for years and appreciate the professionalism and helpfulness of all their employees.
Knowledgeable serviceman.
Great experience! First off, Steve called me to make sure he had all the info for my old water heater to ensure I couldn’t use my warranty. Secondly, on site Brandon was fantastic. Answered all of my questions. Extremely kind and polite.
Mike Patterson continues to provide excellent service! I have had him for many years and he keeps my system humming!
Update to my previous review: January 2026: Still very pleased with the excellent service provided by Howald. Today they fixed our leaky kitchen faucet & replaced our old water filtration system with a new one we had bought elsewhere. The technician was on time & worked hard to finish the job efficiently. Highly…
If my water heater had to go out, I’m glad that John was sent to replace it! John helped me trouble shoot over the phone and was equally kind and respectful in person. I appreciated his professional demeanor and it is evident he is skilled in his role. He was even concerned about my cat being safe before he started…
Tech did a great job. He kept me informed through the service.
Anthony again provided excellent service. He opened the outside unit and tried to hose out all the debris. Most of it was too large to drain through the small holes so we used our grabber to take the debris out the top. He said he needed to get one for his truck. He is very professional and polite. We enjoy having…
Arman was AMAZING to work with. He was so thorough and made sure he looked at everything. He was extremely nice and got along well with me son. He made sure he informed us on anything that he had to do and future plans. We cannot speak highly enough about him. Really really loved working with him, and he was very respectful of our space as well!
I haven’t noticed the quote or details of getting a new water heater ,,, I’ve been without hot water since Friday and would like to have one installed soon if I agree to terms and price. Brandon was supposed to send me a quote via my email , I haven’t received. Thx for your help
Excellent experience; competent, professional personalized service. Definitely exceeded expectations. Many thanks to Dan Flickenger!
Andrew was very pleasant and professional. Answered all my questions easily. He provided an estimate for a new toilet and replaced the flapper in a half bath
We received a prompt response from Arman who immediately diagnosed our lack of hot water and recommended and then replaced our water heater promptly and efficiently
Brandon did an excellent job replacing our hot water heater! We’ll use Howald again.
We've been customers for 10 years now, and every single tech we've worked with has been so great to work with. Nice, professional, and knowledgeable.

Sam and John took out old water heater, moved a salt tank so as to relocate the new water heater in a better place. Expertly explained and work completed!!! Happy!!
Sam & Brandon were great! Kept us informed the whole time.
Wonderful customer service.
My water heater is in a walk-in attic with a slanted ceiling. We needed to replace the existing water heater and decided because of the close quarters we would replace it with a tankless water heater. It took all day because of plumbing and wiring changes required. They worked diligently and continuously and it is…
Sam with Howald did an excellent job with my water heater replacement. Very clear & thorough from the initial call to walking me through things at the end. Absolutely went the extra mile to make sure everything was working well - didn't cut any corners.
We are very pleased with the work done by Arman Latifi. He replaced our water heater and corrected errors of the former installer. He explained what needed to be done, added a monitoring system and helped to get it operational. He is very knowledgeable and professional. He represents Howald very well.

Same day service for water heater replacement. We had already used Howald very recently for replacement of our A/C and did not hesitate to call them for help with this! They are our first and only call!
Howald Heating & Plumbing provided outstanding service as always. Replaced water heater and added thermal expansion tank. I’m very particular and they have never disappointed me with HVAC or plumbing services. Shout out to the whole team who insured things ran smoothly from scheduling, ordering, and installing (Beth, Steve, Sam).
