We just started Huntington with about 20 hours in. When we came here, our 2nd grader was struggling with reading & writing. We were worried that we would have to hold her back to repeat 2nd grader. Our granddaughter has improved 2 grade levels since coming to Huntington the last 4 months. She has so much confidence in herself now. We are so proud of her and can’t thank Susan and her tudors at Huntington enough.

I’ll begin by saying I never write reviews, but my experience has been so positive at Huntington Learning Center, for both me and my granddaughter, I felt the need to share in case you’re looking for a learning center for your child. Huntington checks all the boxes when looking for good people to surround your child with to help them on their educational path. I chose Huntington based on all the great reviews, and they have not disappointed. So I hope you’ll take my review as it is intended, which is to help you make a good decision for your child. The first thing that comes to my mind is the PEOPLE. WOW are they nice!! Not only to my granddaughter, but also to me. They know her name and always say hello to her when she comes in. You’ll meet Lisa, the Director which will help you get your child started at Huntington. She was the first person I met and she has been so welcoming. If I have any concerns Lisa is always there to listen and give advice. I value her opinion. She’s been a delight to get to know. Thank you Lisa for EVERYTHING. Then there’s Peter in the front office too, he’s so calm and pleasant with the students as well. Always willing to help with anything and does it with a smile. Thank you Peter. Jacob does the scheduling among other things. God bless him. I’m sure trying to schedule for teachers, and around kids lives can be a daunting job. But Jacob does it with ease and kindness. Plus he’s so personable with the kids. Jacob gave my granddaughter her assessment. When we left that day I asked her how it went. She said Mr. Jacob was so nice and patient. If I didn’t know an answer he said that’s ok, we’ll come back to it, and he said it so nicely my granddaughter said. Thank you Jacob. Ms. Sharon is my granddaughter’s teacher. OMG she is WONDERFUL!! A quiet, caring, kind, encouraging soul that always meets my granddaughter with a smile. My granddaughter goes 3 days a week, and after she’s had a long day at school too. But she never complains, because she knows she’s going to a place where people welcome her and she feels at home. Thank you Huntington. Sometimes we lose our self confidence when we’re struggling in school, but at Huntington, the people there build that back up, just by being positive with my granddaughter, and truly “seeing” her. The other night I watched my granddaughter read to her little cousin and mimic her teacher. She was sounding out the words so her cousin could find the picture with the SH sound in it. It made me smile from ear to ear. I knew she was being Ms. Sharon. Thank you Ms. Sharon for being such a positive role model for my granddaughter. The first part of the hurdle when you’re child is struggling, is to get them with positive people. If you don’t have that, your child will never learn. At Huntington Learning Center, you have that and so much more. I was excited to write this review to let other parents/grandparents know there is help for your child, and when they’re finished with their program, you too will be writing a review to further help others. My grandchild’s education is very important to me. I want her to succeed in life and we all know, there are times we need a little help, and that’s ok. You will not only get their educational issues resolved, but at the same time their self confidence will be thriving as well, because of the wonderful people you’re child will be interacting with. I know this was long, but Huntington deserves a 100% honest review. When I run across a business that goes beyond what’s expected, I want to let people know. Don’t hesitate to call Huntington for a consultation. You will be glad you did, and I hope in some small way I helped you with that. He was able to test at the fifth grade level at the end of his 5th grade year. Not only did he achieve the goal of catching up academically but his self confidence in the classroom is amazing. Fast forward to March 2026, he is ending his 6th grade year. He has been a honor roll student throughout his first year of middle school. Thank you to the great staff at the Louisville Huntington location.
His growth was truly remarkable to see! He worked hard and it paid off. We are so happy that he started his school year off stronger than ever.

The best feeling now is seeing her confident in her abilities, and not doubting that she’s capable. Enrolling her in Huntington’s program has been a great decision.

My son started with Huntington toward the end of 6th grade for struggles in math and reading. In May of this year his standardized test scores were rated “low achievement”, with math at the 20th percentile and reading at 11th percentile. He has almost completed his program and his standardized test scores just a few months later (in August) increased to 61st percentile for math and 47th for reading. I think that increase in scores speaks for itself! My son even suggested he continue going to Huntington at least once a week for enrichment and maintenance once his program there ends. I couldn’t be happier that we invested in his academic progress with Huntington!
Yes!!!! What a great testament to the confidence he’s gained. We are thrilled to keep him here and keep pushing him to achieve higher!
