Fran Brown8 reviewsiTotal number of Google reviews Fran has written across all businesses on Google Maps, not just this one.
I had interviewed Se-Arom on the phone and explained that I questioned my previous accountant’s review of my income tax review and inquired as to his ability to handle my tax filing. He agreed to do my tax filing for $100.00 and that I would not be charged anything until filing. He reviewed my taxes and indicated that I owed over $300.00 in extra taxes. I again mentioned that my previous accountant indicated that I did not owe anything nor do I have a refund. He then requested more information and deduced that I owed $175.00 in extra taxes. I retrieved my tax documents and requested a credit for the $65.00 for the automatic debit to my account. I have not received a credit. Please be aware of your trust in this individual.
I have requested several times for a receipt of the amount that I was automatically charged for tax preparation. I have not only not received a receipt, but absolutely no communication from Se-Arom. Very disappointing that this is a person that is providing tax preparation and also is an insurance agent for Farmers Insurance. I will never have any further business dealings with this individual.
I have repeatedly requested a receipt from Se-Arom and have not received any response as to why he won’t provide the receipt.

It's unfortunate that Fran decided to hurt our business by giving us a 1 star review, even though he knows very well that he's being dishonest about the $65 fee he was charged. It is unambiguously stated on our online appointment booking site that the $65 fee is charged for meeting with our CPA for a 30 minutes personal tax consulting session and that fee will be deducted from their final tax preparation fee if the prospect decides to become a client. Here's the full text "Personal tax preparation and filing service inquiries Q&A or onboarding for first time clients or prospective clients. You can use this appointment even if you just have some questions about your personal taxes that you'd like our CPA's opinion on. However, for those who decide to become our tax client, the fee you're charged for this appointment will be credited towards your tax prep fee."
Fran kept calling our office and threatening that he'd call police or take us to court if we don't credit $65 back to his account. Our principled response has been that he paid for a 30 minutes personal tax consulting appointment with our CPA. In addition to that, our CPA spent hours of additional time trying to accommodate Mr. Fran and his tax service needs , which mean hundreds of dollars worth of time lost during the busy tax season.
We understand we may not make everyone happy with the level of service we provide, no matter how good we are in what we do. That said, we always strive to achieve the highest possible client satisfaction with our services and we've been successful in that as it is evidenced by the 5 star review we've gotten from all our clients, but Fran!
