Stay clear!!! Three stars is probably higher than I should rate them, but in a good mood today. The ole adage is so true...you get what you pay for. I took a risk going with the lowest quote and of course I regret it. Communication is always key to me and like so many contractors these days it was lacking. During our first walkthrough I told him I want the basement floor to look as clean as it was before they started. Well, I spent a day and a half on my knees scraping mud off the floor. This is after I gave them plastic which they used for the scraps outside (appreciate that), but why not the floor?!? I went out of my way trying to make sure they had sufficient lighting, no one can do drywall right in dim lighting. So, I installed all my can lights and bought a 21,000 lumen tripod light which they barely used. The first day of sanding the plastic I put up (they could care less) to block off the open stairway to the first floor pulled away from the tape because it was very windy and they had all the windows and door open in our walk-out. Instead of fixing or letting me know they just went at it with a power sander that did NOT have a vacuum hook-up so the amount of drywall dust floating upstairs was incredible, could barely even see in the basement, so how they knew where to sand was probably very difficult. Once I finished priming, I reached out as we discussed to have him come back for touch-ups, albeit many many many areas were much more than simple touch-ups (I have pics I can shared if requested). BTW he doesn't come back for free, which I accepted based on his lower quote, although everyone else that quoted guaranteed their work with free touch-ups. He committed to coming out on a Monday, never showed, then Wednesday, no show again. Guess lying to the customer is ok. After several attempts to contact him, he finally answered saying he is really busy, but if I could wait until the following Thursday he would come. At this point I said I'll do it myself based on the sub-par job they had done to date. So, I've had to do all the fixes and touch-ups myself. They even used that sander across plain drywall and roughed up the paper, so I've had to sand those areas too. At best I would give it a C so unless you don't mind a huge mess and potentially finishing the drywall yourself, I would NOT recommend them.
