The Kansas Ballet Academy has been absolutely amazing for our DD’s growth and development. She has been with KBA for several years now and has had nothing but great praise for the Academy and her Instructional Staff. Ballet is the highlight of her day. The specialty classes and performances are some of the things that she looks forward to the most. In our experience, the Instructional Staff and the Academy Directors have been extremely supportive, caring, and professional in every aspect of our DD’s Ballet progress. They are the reason that she wishes to become a professional Ballet Performer. I have always highly recommended, and will always recommend KBA for anyone wishing to start or further their ballet experience. In my personal opinion, they are the absolute best and should be rated higher than the 5 Stars that Google allows.

My granddaughter has attended KBA since they opened. She is now a junior in high school so that's been quite a number of years. It has been a wonderful experience for her, and for our family. She has learned individual discipline as well as team work. Classical ballet is the foundation for other dance forms, which are available there as well. The artistic directors Stephanie and Alex are awesome! Not only do they know what they are doing, they are loving, caring professionals who have made a difference in the life of my granddaughter. KBA also offers through their non-profit, Kansas Ballet Company, the opportunity to participate in the annual Nutcracker performance and Regional Dance America, a nonprofit whose mission is elevating dance as an art form. It is worth every dollar we have spent through the years. At KBA there's a sign that says, "Ballet - like a sport only harder." It has been, and continues to be, a great blessing to my granddaughter and to all of us. This is ballet education at its best!

We are so grateful for KBA and for the vision, passion, and leadership of Stephanie and Alex, the artistic directors. I am so proud to be a part of the KBA family, both as a dance instructor and as a parent who has watched two of my daughters find a love for dance during their years at KBA. KBA has done a tremendous job of fostering a love for dance balanced with the discipline and confidence the art form requires. Whether a dancer enjoys dance recreationally or is preparing for a professional dance career, KBA offers positive, quality dance instruction and an impressive amount of dance experiences and performance opportunities. Their commitment to making high-quality dance accessible to everyone in the Topeka community while providing dancers the opportunity to engage with world-class instructors, choreographers, and performers is truly inspiring! My daughter has danced at Kansas Ballet since they opened their doors. The directors are not only superb ballet instructors, they care for their students. They are continuously adapting to the needs of their current students. They also run a very professional business, which I’ve found rare in the arts community. I appreciate the consistency and the communication. They’ve navigated Covid amazingly well and found a way to keep their dancers engaged no matter what the current situation.

I appreciate they respect the findings by experts, and put everyone’s safety and benefit as the first priority. My daughter’s experience has been extremely positive and nurturing. They put dancer’s growth before money making, e.g. you pay for the participation to an event, not for each rehearsal that comes up. The parents are also very supportive and ready to work as a team. This is a great school and I confidently recommend it!
