Kens Automotive

As long as I’m in Philly I’m go to Ken’s for auto services. I always trust their word and work for my car. Inspection, repairs, oil changes, they get it done and do it well. The koi fish make for a nice surprise.

I recently brought my car to Kens Automotive for a vehicle inspection, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The service was prompt and professional, and the staff made sure I understood every step of the process. The price was reasonable for the work done, and I appreciated the transparency in the pricing.… Read full review

I’ve been going here for over 10 years! Quick & friendly responses, very knowledgeable, and very fair prices.

Absolute pleasure to work with. Everything is handled quickly and at an incredibly fair price. Highly recommend.

The service at Ken's Auto is great. They're organized, reliable, friendly, competent -- and not out to fleece you. I recently asked for an oil change because that's what I do every six months. But they said I wasn't due for one because I hadn't driven the standard 3,000 miles between oil changes. I highly recommend these guys.

Excellent service, as always!

Easy appointment scheduling and same-day turnaround on my inspection with no drama. Perfect!

Brought in my 1 year-old leased vehicle for a PA state inspection/emission sticker. The drop off was easy. I didn’t even have to explain that the car is new and that the BMW dealership in NJ did a full checkup required by the lease agreement. They just knew and took great care of it. Communication was great. They… Read full review

I started using Kens Automotive in 2022. I found them via my neighborhood Facebook page. I noticed that every time someone posted about needing an automotive shop: Kens was always mentioned. The words/reviews that folks stated were always great! I have an automobile from the late 90’s. I actually had to get a jump… Read full review

I have been taking my car to Ken’s for almost 10 years and have never been disappointed with their work. Pricing has always seemed reasonable. They are very clear with the breakdown of pricing and work to be done on the invoice, which they always send over after diagnostic and before continuing work or ordering… Read full review

Excellent shop! Had PA inspection done after moving from MD. Would definitely recommend.

Easy to make an appointment and my service was done same-day, no surprises. Will definitely be back.

Ken’s Auto was great! I just registered my car from out of state so I took it in for an inspection and an oil change, and they had everything done before noon. Great communication and kind employees!

Went in for a Tesla state inspection. I was able to schedule an appt online. Their system gives you automated reminder messages both before and after which were helpful. I dropped my car off at around 9 and was able to pick up later in the afternoon. Good customer service and price. Would recommend. Will go back to them in the future.

My car needed a tune-up and inspection. The customer service at the front desk is excellent and my car is running very smoothly now. Ken's makes sure that you're satisfied with their work. Recommend

I have used Ken's for a few years now after being recommended to them by a friend. It's been a great experience. They're super nice, with straightforward, clear estimates before doing the work. I have a very old car, but it's reliable and runs well. My previous mechanic kept urging me to get rid of it. These guys at… Read full review

Fast Fair Honest. Just good people.

Courteous and , professional Great, prompt service!

I’ve been a customer for several years and have recommended them to everyone who asks. They are polite, professional, and know their stuff. Just went for my annual inspection. Good price, good info. I always wait while they work on my car. Space is tight and basic and that’s fine with me. Highly recommend them!

Ken’s is a great place to get your car inspected! Very responsive and professional! Great communication and follow up too!

Easy scheduling, good work and fair prices.

Ken’s is the best! So nice, efficient, and professional. I refuse to take my car anywhere else!

Ken’s Auto really did their thing. Straight up Scotty and Psy are top-tier service writers. They kept it real with me, broke everything down so I understood what was going on with my vehicle, and didn’t give me the runaround. Communication was on point, timing was solid, and the whole process was smooth. You can… Read full review

Always great work and reliability. Easy to work with, love these guys!

Had my car’s annual inspection at Ken’s. As always, they were efficient and friendly. Thanks!

Always as promised and reasonable price. Friendly too. Timely and convenient for Center City.

The guys at Ken's ROCK! First, it's fun to walk into the place. The guys at the front desk and friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. You'll get an appointment quickly and their excellent work is done on time, at a reasonable cost. No job too small, no problem too big. It's a no-brainer: go now!

Dropped off for annual vehicle inspection after making an online appointment. Entire process including working with the staff, communication about vehicle pick up, and inspection was smooth.

We love Ken’s Automotive!! They were recommended by a close family member. I recently took my Lexus to Ken’s for annual inspection and a maintenance check. They were able to schedule me right away and I had new inspection stickers within a matter of a few days. The staff there are great and the experience is a… Read full review

Great service and work-they fit me in at the last minute to help me. Really nice guys and worked quickly to get my tags

I was in the market for a new state inspection shop after being ripped off and treated rudely the past two years at a shop closer to home. I was recommended by a friend and was so pleased with my visit. I accidentally made my appointment for the following Monday, and they squeezed me in without issue. They finished… Read full review

Ive been taken my car to this guys since before the pandemic. They are nice, professional, always on time… they dont overcharge! I will continue working with them and highly recommend them.

Friendly, courteous and reliable. Price for inspection was startling because I moved from a state with $8 inspections but I would go back for repairs.

Great auto shop! Always helpful and informative with their work and and any questions I've had.

Easy to schedule. Accommodating. Friendly.

Quick service, fair pricing, and cool, friendly staff

I came here for an inspection and an oil change. Dropped my car off in the morning and it was done by 11am! None of the employees were condescending or rude and I wasn't pushed into getting anything done that wasn't necessary. The pricing was fair. I will definitely be back for my inspection next year.

These guys are great! It's easy to make appointments, the service is quick, efficient, and reasonably priced, and they're a very personal bunch. I trust them completely with my car.

Fantastic service in a timely manner. This was my not first time using them, and will use them again. I came to them after I was almost scammed by another mechanic. They’re honest, quick and no drama. I can see why they’re rated so high. I definitely recommend them. Love these guys. They are the best! They even have cute fish!

Ken and Sy were great to work with. They walked me through everything, gave me options. I was actually thinking I’d pay more for my services but it was very reasonable and done in a short amount of time. I’ll be bringing both cars back to them when service is needed. Update February 2025- They are still a great… Read full review

I have been going to kens automotive since 2019. They are trustworthy, honest and helpful. As long as I live in Philadelphia I will use kens to service my car!

These guys were fantastic! They were very accommodating and very kind. I would come back to them without hesitation for their quality work and excellent customer service

I switched to Kens to get my inspection done in 2021. Prior to that I had been going elsewhere since becoming a PA resident and somehow always ended up getting swindled and paying more than I had to. Kens is consistent and the team there is nice and don’t try to screw you over. I’ve recommended them to two other… Read full review

Great work and great people. They treat my old 90s truck with care and attention. Highly recommend!

Best place in center city area for honest mechanics. Been taking my cars here for years and keep coming back. Great service, good prices, easy to work with.

Quick service for inspection; place runs like a well oiled machine. Thanks again

Fantastic service. Transparent dealing, timely service and fair price. So much better than the big chains like Midas. A special shout out to Karwai who helped me patch up my tyre quickly and completed the state inspection seamlessly without wasting any time.

Chevy went in for just an inspection, rolled out of the garage with plans to take it to Ken’s only. Great service, great prices, can’t beat that in downtown Philly.

Most recently just got my oil changed here and it was quick and went smoothly. They had previously helped me when my catalytic converter was stolen. They got me in right away and helped throughout the process. Very good communication. Would definitely recommend.

Through all my decades of driving (long time) Ken’s Auto, remains my best auto repair experience, ever. A friend and her husband, referred me to Ken’s. I’ve been using Ken’s Auto, close to 10 years. He’s honest, has integrity and does excellent work!!! He kept my old Nissan running for 20 years and I never, ever had… Read full review

Review Haiku: Ken’s is our go-to. Very communicative. Always a pleasure.

I have been going to this place for years. They work with you and tell you everything upfront, including cost breakdown. I've never felt like they were trying to con me. In fact, they gave me different options for tires and let me decide without feeling pressured. Honest business.

Had a very positive experience at Ken's. My car was finished when they said it would be and at the price I was quoted. They did not try to upsell me on any services or try to talk me into serviced I didn't need. I will use Ken's again in the future!

They are friendly, affordable and accommodating! The service was fast too.

I’ve gone to Ken’s a couple times now and I couldn’t be happier to have found a good, honest auto mechanic in the city. Fair prices and they’re upfront with what you should expect to pay. As a single woman, you don’t usually have this type of experience at a mechanic. Highly recommended.

I live in Connecticut but was looking at buying a car for my daughter in Philedelphia. I picked Ken’s (based on their reviews) to inspect the car, make sure it was safe and the owner wasn’t hiding anything. They were thorough, professional and helpful. Not only did they provide me with a comprehensive service… Read full review

The service I received was fine. The first time I went, I got an oil change. I had an appt and wanted to stay and wait for the car bc they said it would take 45 minutes. After an hour, I could see my car hadn't been taken back yet and I asked if I should come back for it. They apologized profusely and explained… Read full review

disclaimer: they asked me to give them 5 stars on Google. lots of services have asked for a 5 star review and i brushed it off, but this place really is excellent. reasonable prices, quick turnaround, clear explanations of work done, approachable workers, overall great place.
