Kens Automotive

As long as I’m in Philly I’m go to Ken’s for auto services. I always trust their word and work for my car. Inspection, repairs, oil changes, they get it done and do it well. The koi fish make for a nice surprise.

Good expertise across many of the areas of the car needing inspection or service. Cost was higher than expected, but this is in the center of town so there are not a lot of alternatives.

I started using Kens Automotive in 2022. I found them via my neighborhood Facebook page. I noticed that every time someone posted about needing an automotive shop: Kens was always mentioned. The words/reviews that folks stated were always great! I have an automobile from the late 90’s. I actually had to get a jump… Read full review

I have been taking my car to Ken’s for almost 10 years and have never been disappointed with their work. Pricing has always seemed reasonable. They are very clear with the breakdown of pricing and work to be done on the invoice, which they always send over after diagnostic and before continuing work or ordering… Read full review

I have used Ken's for a few years now after being recommended to them by a friend. It's been a great experience. They're super nice, with straightforward, clear estimates before doing the work. I have a very old car, but it's reliable and runs well. My previous mechanic kept urging me to get rid of it. These guys at… Read full review

We've been here several times but I can't leave multiple reviews. Thankfully we have only needed maintenance and inspections and they are great for all of it. Scheduling, drop off and pick up are seamless, everyone there is professional and friendly, and they do great work. Thank you!

Very friendly and competent team. Reasonable prices and quick turnaround.

The mechanics are very good; these guys really know what they're doing. I've used them on a number of occasions and Ken even set up my dash cam, something I wasn't able to do.

Fair prices and honest service.

This place is great! Efficient, communicative, trustworthy, and they won’t try to upsell or swindle you on things the car doesn’t need!

Great service! Convenient and good price. I'll definitely go back for my other car needs in the future.

My go-to place for all my car needs. Everyone here is so kind and communicative (and funny). I have a quick and smooth service every time I come.

These guys are great! Super communicative and reasonable pricing.

I made a drop off appointment for 8-10AM for an inspection. Got there at 930AM and dropped off my car a little before 10 because I didn't realize I needed to update registration first before getting the inspection whoops. One of the staff was very helpful in assuring me I could still get the inspection done that day… Read full review

Courteous and , professional Great, prompt service!

Great service and price…every time. I’ve been using them for a few years and would highly recommend them!

Ken’s Auto really did their thing. Straight up Scotty and Psy are top-tier service writers. They kept it real with me, broke everything down so I understood what was going on with my vehicle, and didn’t give me the runaround. Communication was on point, timing was solid, and the whole process was smooth. You can… Read full review

After coming here for 4 years for their overpriced and deceptive services, I'm taking my business elsewhere from now on. Granted that I don't know much about cars, I initially trusted the highly rated google reviews on this place since they seem to be run by honest people who are trustworthy. I really should've… Read full review

Nice staff all around. got what we needed done swiftly. Thanks!

The team over at Ken’s Automotive is great just went to get an inspection done that was a lil overdue I used their drop off service cause I was still at work. They kept me informed on the progress and as soon as the inspection was complete I just paid and was on my way. Definitely will bring my car back there again

Efficient and fast service. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

Dropped my car off in the morning. Had it ready pretty quickly. Let me know about something that would need service coming up but didn’t pressure to get it done right then. Will definitely be coming back.

Timely, honest, and gets the job done efficiently.

The guys at Ken's ROCK! First, it's fun to walk into the place. The guys at the front desk and friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. You'll get an appointment quickly and their excellent work is done on time, at a reasonable cost. No job too small, no problem too big. It's a no-brainer: go now!

I’ve been going to Ken’s for the past few years now and don’t have anything negative to say. These guys are awesome, always easy to communicate with and they’re great at taking care of my car needs.

They've always been honest, straightforward, and on time... year after year. Great job!

Ken's advised that I needed a new tire. After telling the technician that I bought the tires a year ago, he recommended that I go back to that other company to see if the tire was under warranty. It was! My tire was replaced for free. They could have sold me a new tire to pass inspection, but they did not. Their… Read full review

Highly recommended. Never had anything but good luck here. Great shop to work with and the staff is friendly and communicative. They don't push unnecessary work and are reasonably priced for their services, I've found. It's a little bit of a drive to Chinatown from West Philly, but it's worth it for the reliable… Read full review

10/10 would recommend. I procrastinated getting my inspection done, after years of my prior mechanic “needing” to do a lot of work on my 2011 to pass. My car sits on the street 90% of the time, so I just need it to be safe to drive. I dropped my car off at Ken’s this morning, and they took it even though they were… Read full review

I came here to get my annual PA Safety and Emission Inspection for the second year in a row, and I am glad I came back. First, I love that there is an online scheduling system and reminders come through to my email and by texts. Second, they are so punctual. So far, I have received my car same day. Third, they walk… Read full review

I called Ken’s toward the end of the month for my inspection - they were flexible about scheduling and helped get the job done in time. I’m happy to recommend them.

Love this place! Only spot I’d go in the city. Always have been great to work with.

My experience with Ken's Automotive was lovely! I scheduled an appointment online for my inspection and emissions, dropped my car off at 8am, and it was ready by 9:30am! The cost was presented to me upfront before I authorized work, they didn't try to sell me on anything extra, and I knew exactly what to expect in… Read full review

As always, great service, good people. And very quick turnaround.

Quick, simple and to the point. I even heard words I *never* thought I’d hear while getting my car tended to: ‘it’ll be fine until your next oil change.’ They’ve got a new fan for sure. Update: still the best.

I have been going to kens automotive since 2019. They are trustworthy, honest and helpful. As long as I live in Philadelphia I will use kens to service my car!

I had no problem being seen in a couple of days. They are friendly and efficient! Additionally, they only do what you are there for. No surprises or additional costs. I am happy to have found Ken’s Automotive!

Ken's has been my go to auto shop since moving to Philadelphia. They communicate well and have always treated me fairly.

Responsive, timely, and great customer service. They always explain what they need to do and are friendly.

They did a great job with the inspection and were very clearly about any issues that came up. Very reasonable prices and excellent customer service. Highly recommend for anyone in the area!
