When the government decides to come after you, you quickly learn how rare a truly competent trial attorney is. Jason Findling is one of them. He didn't posture or bargain, he laid it out plainly to the prosecution that they didn't have the evidence to convict me beyond a reasonable doubt, let alone to have charged me in the first place. My case was dismissed. If you're being pushed around by the government, do not settle for whoever is available. Find a real trial lawyer who knows the courtroom and actually cares about the person he's representing. That's Jason — sharp, principled, and genuinely in your corner. I can't say enough good things about Ms. Amanda and all the folks I had dealings with over at Kuchler & Cotton. I was facing a serious assault charge in Rock County and hired them to take over the case leading up to the trial, upon another attorneys recommendation. They evaluated the states evidence, and did their own thorough investigation into things. When the trial finally came, Amanda ripped the states case apart as she cross examined subpoenaed witnesses. Catching the alleged victim, her friend, and the officers in a multitude of false statements using a combination of social media posts, and prior inconsistent statements/reports. Given that the state will likely never rectify things, the cross examination exposing the fabrication against me will be the closest thing to justice that I will ever get from this ordeal. The jury reached a not guilty verdict in 30 minutes, and after a lengthy legal battle I get my life back. Forever grateful for Ms. Amanda and the good folks over at Kuchler & Cotton.
