If you are a woman with any assets looking for a divorce attorney, look somewhere else. I was assigned to Kara Haggerty and I felt very on my own through the whole process. It even felt like she was letting opposing counsel dictate the negotiations, tone, etc. She suggested I pay my ex tens of thousands of dollars more than I ended up settling for but was 100% on me to be tactical and forceful about the numbers. I expected I was going to have her in my corner and fighting for me but that definitely wasn't the case. If you want to have someone run numbers for you to tell you how much she thinks you should settle for and then just take your money, maybe this is your solution but if you are like me - never been divorced and need the help/counsel, actually have some assets you'd like to keep and don't want to just hand over half of everything when there are numerous circumstances that far from justify a 50/50 split (for a fairly short marriage at that), find someone else.
I will give the one star because the paralegal who works with Kara is actually helpful.

Everyone at this firm that I interacted with was professional and competent without being stuffy, which for me is a good sign. I had a somewhat complicated divorce due to, reasons but, I was also trying to maintain a healthy relationship with my ex. Attorney Welch understood and protected me and my interests without going for my ex’s jugular, though had I changed my mind I have no doubt that he would have done a brilliant job of it. I’m more than satisfied with the job that Attorney Welch and his team did for me.
