I've had the pleasure of working with Leora on two different projects: first, public speaking, and second, effective communication. I came to her with stage fright, and she helped me identify several imposter syndrome misbeliefs that I held. Secondly, she supported me in my inability to effectively communicate at work, allowing me to grow both personally and professionally. She is more than a communication coach. Having her as a life coach makes working with her such a pleasure. I have her on speed dial. I continue to work with her on an ongoing basis to challenge my biases and continue growing. She can be sweet and kind, but she will also challenge you and encourage you to grow. I highly recommend her.

I’m a few months overdue in writing this review, but I wanted to share how impactful my experience with Lee has been. I initially reached out to her because I was struggling with presenting to large audiences. Public speaking had always been an area of opportunity for me, but during this season of life, I found myself dealing with severe stage fright. During one presentation to a group of executives, anxiety and fear hit me all at once, and I nearly walked off the stage. What lasted only a few seconds felt like an eternity. That moment made me realize it was time to get professional help. I searched online and came across Lee. Like most people, I read the reviews, but I was still skeptical because I had already spent time and money on books and other resources with little to no success. Intellectually, I understood the science behind what was happening, and I had even worked with a therapist to better understand the source of my fears. However, all of that knowledge still did not help me get past the hurdle. I decided to take a chance and sign up, and I am so glad I did. Lee has a way of simplifying things and turning them into practical approaches and exercises that are easy to apply. She helped me understand that I was putting pressure on myself to be perfect, which was not realistic. She also helped me recognize that I was struggling with imposter syndrome, something I had not fully understood before. I used the techniques she recommended and applied them during a major presentation with more than 100 people in attendance. I was able to be authentic, charismatic, and connected with the audience. It was still nerve-racking, but I had a new sense of confidence. The feedback I received from the audience validated the progress I had made. This is not a silver bullet. It takes time, thoughtful and intentional practice, and effort, as most worthwhile things do. But if you are on the fence, I would encourage you to reconsider. You will be glad you made the investment in yourself. The key takeaways I will carry with me are that it is about connection, not perfection, and that progress matters more than perfection. I have been a public speaker for many years, and honestly I didn't think I needed speech coaching, but I was really feeling unsure about an upcoming funding pitch contest that I was entering. Lee got right to the core issues quickly in our consult: where I was missing connection to my audience, where I could declutter the story so it was more compelling. We reworked my presentation and talking points, amped up the emotion - and I won the contest (and the prize money)! If you're unsure about hiring her, don't be. Lee is such a positive cheerleader, fun and funny, and she experience working with all kinds of clients (I'm in tech, but she has taught all kinds of people, even some very famous ones).
