I will start by saying that I am not one who frequently reviews any establishment, and the few reviews I have left have been when I have was dissatisfied. Following that, I will share that I am exceedingly wary of mechanic shops. I feel compelled, however, to share glowing praise for Major Minor Auto Service and Kevin Minor, as the level of professionalism and customer service matched that of my hometown mechanic, and long time family friend, Jude Pellerin, in Sunset, Louisiana. My wife’s car had an issue that required specialized parts that despite 2-3 hours of searching online, I could not find (and I am a fairly skilled mechanic myself who has never had any issue with finding parts). After dropping it off at Major Minor, Kevin Minor kept up regular and responsive communication and bent over backwards to find the right parts. Instead of having them delivered the next day, like most other mechanics would have done, he drove over two hours to get them himself. And when all was done, despite the extra hours it took him to find and get the parts, the invoice was within $20 of what my hometown mechanic said he would do it for if the car was in his shop (and remember he’s a family friend that has serviced and repaired my vehicles, my parents, and all of my siblings’ cars for over 35 years). Nothing but the highest praise for Kevin and Major Minor Auto Service.
