I was about to give up on my custom acoustic guitar and put it on the market after several luthiers couldn't address its playability and even made it sound and play worse. Great experience here. They did a setup on my 7-string and took the time to ask all the right questions about how I play and how I want the guitar to feel and play. Their work is excellent, and the staff was extremely friendly and easy to work with. This should be your go-to spot if you're in the area.
Great shop. They’ve completed tough repairs for me over the last 20 years, like solidifying stripped bridge screw holes on a dan electro bass. Repair is holding up well after 15 years. RIP Mike.
I've been taking guitars here for almost a decade now. I've gotten a full stainless refret, a stainless plek, and now a nickle plek. The work is fantastic every time, and the one time I had a tiny quibble I brought it back and they made an adjustment in less than 10 minutes. If you want good work that lasts, this is the place.
They planed, pleked and fretted my 1962 jazz neck and it couldn't be better. Excellent work
I've brought my Jazzmaster, and my ES 335 in here for work. Fantastic setups on both, and they did a plek job on my ES 335. Plays like a dream. Highly recommend. Their instruments that they make are extremely well crafted too.

I was about to give up on my custom acoustic guitar and put it on the market after several luthiers couldn't address its playability and even made it sound and play worse. Decided to give Mike Lull's a shot after reading about the Plek and finding out that they have one. My expectations were completely exceeded. I can't believe how easy the neck is to play. I've always heard the phrase "it's important to get a setup", but it never resonated with me due bad experiences. However, I now understand what it means, and I think everyone owes it to themselves to get a setup as good as the one I just received. They also fixed all the resonance issues and now all 6 strings sing freely. Thank you for making me fall in love with this instrument again. PS: The folks who work there are incredibly nice. Customer service of the highest level.

This individual is not a customer of the shop and there are no records of this repair. Seems like an unfortunate situation but maybe the customer is confused with another shop. Mike Lull passed away in 2020…. Sorry to hear about this experience, wherever it occurred.
