I called Nick to follow up on some laminate flooring he had installed previously and he was extremely helpful. He visited our house and answered all of our questions. Communicating with him was excellent- he gave us heads up and follow up calls. Nick has a great passion for his work and stands behind it as well. Highly recommended.

These guys came highly recommended by close relatives. We saw the transformation done to their house so we knew we could trust in the quality of their workmanship. They transformed our brand new old home that had dirty carpet and dirty walls with some quality floors and paint. With just those two projects alone, our house feel more habitable and more like home. They pay attention to detail and fixed some little things for us as well. Their service doesn’t end when their job is done. When you see something that needs to be retouched or fixed, let them know and they will make it right even when it’s weeks or months after a project.

I’ve made some dumb choices in my life but hiring Modern Stone and Flooring wasn’t one of them!!! From the beginning Nick was communicative and professional. He explained the process and gave me updates and what they were going to work on each day. When a problem would come along or I expressed a concern he would say don’t worry “I got you” and get it taken care of. I love the attention to details, like the rounded edge baseboard, or fixing all the flaws in the drywall. Not to mention his staff Manny and Juan!! They are both awesome, they came in and made sure everything was perfect. If you want a quality contractor with a good staff and good prices I highly recommend Modern Stone and Flooring. In fact they were so good I refereed him to my mom and my cousin and they are almost completed with both houses. Nick has become more like family now. If I could give them a 10 ⭐️ out of 5 ⭐️ I definitely would!! Thank you Nick and the crew at Modern Stone and Flooring.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback, Mi ke! We're thrilled to hear that your experience with Modern Stone and Flooring was so positive. It's fantastic to know that Nick, Manny, and Juan were able to provide you with the communication and attention to detail you deserve. We appreciate your referrals and are glad to have you as part of our extended family. If you ever need anything else, don't hesitate to reach out!

We were the victims of bait- and- switch tactics and shoddy workmanship. At first we were thrilled that this company could provide needed help with a full condo remodel. We were careful to choose LVP with the thickest wear layer, and knew we'd pay more for that. We weren't there for the install, but in less than 2 1/2 years the floors had cracked in several places. I tried to call Nicholas several times, but he never returned the calls or came to check on it. He also neglected to give us the paperwork on the floors, even though we asked for it several times. Now we find that these were the cheapest possible floors, and our only option is to put in new flooring. We also purchased kitchen cabinets and countertops, which have been ok, although the counters now have cracks at the waterfall edge and backsplash. The drywall installer was completely incompetent. The surface was so uneven that we had to hire another person to redo it all.
Job date was in 2022 !! And I am always a phone call away from my clients with zero complications !!Good morning I am definitely disappointed to read this. Mr. Ambrose their daily and I was helping with tons more than what we got paid for and actually didn’t even have a balance paid at the end. This home is a coastal property and I’ll just leave it there and if you’re familiar with anything that is close to the ocean, it damages the property severely and quickly. And the home was already dilapidated. I did tons of work give the items long-term life and create solutions for already existing problems there. I’ve been in business for 30 years and I swear to you, I am the furthest thing from a crook. I can’t actually believe what I’m reading, but Mrs. Ambrose was it absent the entire project Mr. Ambrose was there daily. I have a full staff that was there in videos and photos to share, but I’m gonna leave this as it is you guys I don’t fill my clients to review. Speak for themselves thank you.858-271-4565 Mrs. Ambrose. I’ve always been a call away. You called once and I never missed your phone call and not one phone call has ever gone unresponsive. also this property is a rental and there’s a house full of college students in there besides being in Pacific Beach with full condensation and ocean water destroying the property. I swear I’ve done no foul play here. This is embarrassing and so wrong in many ways as I help this family tons and didn’t get paid the full expected amount at the end they’re the owners of Woodstock Pizza. I even help them with other items that they’re not mentioning here tons of items from their business to their home.
