Enthusiastic and Direct: Absolutely amazing results after our 4.5-month-old golden retriever puppy's 9-day board and train with Luke! The transformation is incredible. She's now very calm and her leash walking is phenomenal—she didn't pull me once on our first try! I’m also enjoying the silence; zero barking in the crate. Highly recommend Luke's training!

101% Dog Whisperer!
Luke is truly an exceptional dog trainer. His passion, commitment, and genuine heart shine through in everything he does. He’s not just focused on training your dog — he’s dedicated to helping you succeed by teaching you how to communicate effectively and continue the work at home. He emphasizes consistency and daily practice. My puppy first met Luke at around 3 months old, and now at 7 months, her obedience is outstanding for a puppy. She absolutely ADORES him.
Pepsi recently stayed with Luke for a two‑week bootcamp, and despite the extremely cold weather, he still took her on multiple field trips to keep her progressing. His communication throughout was excellent — the videos he sent were incredibly helpful and made it easy for me to reinforce her training at home. I asked Luke to focus on outdoor impulse control, and he went above and beyond to ensure both my puppy and I felt safe outside. I am already feeling more confident to take my puppy out on a walk – which is a big accomplishment for me!
One of the most important things I want to highlight is the level of trust Luke established. While I was away, I never once worried about my puppy. I knew she was in the best hands. He follows all instructions, treats dogs with genuine love, and cares for them as if they were his own. I will absolutely continue working with Luke and boarding my puppy with him. He’s simply the best!

“Absolutely Life-Changing!”
I cannot say enough good things about Operation Good Dog in Minneapolis. From day one, Luke treated my pit-bull with the perfect blend of compassion, and understanding. I came in with concerns about leash pulling, reactivity, and overall obedience—but what I got was far more than just basic training.
Luke thoroughly taught me how to be a better, more confident owner. Luke was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and truly invested in the success of helping me. He totally understood the specific needs of bully breeds and worked with positivity, discipline, and real results.
Since completing our 6 sessions, my pit-bull is calmer, walks so much better on a leash, and is noticeably more balanced and happy. It’s been a complete transformation.
If you’re looking for real progress—not just treats and tricks—Operation Good Dog is hands down the best investment you can make for your dog and your peace of mind.
Thank you for giving me my best friend back in the best way possible!

Thanks so much, Mario! I really appreciate the kind words, but at the end of the day, you’re the one who put in the work every day to help your dog succeed. Your consistency and dedication made all the difference. It was a pleasure working with you both!

I cannot recommend Luke enough!! He is the most passionate dog trainer I have ever met. Luke took so much time explaining how to understand our dog and how we can best communicate with him. We have a very rambunctious blue heeler named Ranger that we rescued, and Luke helped us make so much progress with him! He had been attacked by other dogs in the past.
We’ve worked on a lot of reactivity around guests coming over and meeting other dogs around our apartment. Ranger can be skeptical of some men, but he warmed up to Luke right away! After putting in the time and work with training, Ranger walks much better on a leash, is less reactive to other dogs, and has learned to love his crate more! Operation Good Dog is the perfect place to go for any one on one training you need and to build a better relationship with your pup!

Thank you for such a great review! It was a pleasure to work with you, your partner and Ranger. I hope to see him again!

My experience with Luke was amazing! Extraordinarily professional, well prepared with lesson plans and follow up over views specific to our sessions. He takes the time to assess and address all issues you may be having and gives you tools to help you work with them, as well as setting up a program to teach you foundation skills. Yes he is a ‘dog trainer’ and is absolutely wonderful with dogs but more importantly he is a people trainer giving you the skillset you need to become successful as a dog owner. Highly recommend!!!

Luke was so wonderful to work with! He is very knowledgeable and was always patient with all of my questions. He takes the time to talk through everything with you and make sure you understand the concepts of training. He also gives you a customized training plan along with plenty of videos and resources after each session which are extremely helpful. We noticed positive progress after only a few sessions, and I really enjoyed the time spent training with my dog and cherished the small victories we shared together. Investing in an in-home trainer was hands down the best decision we made for our dog and for us; the sessions really helped me to build confidence in how to handle my dog’s reactivity. I highly recommend Operation Good Dog!

While I have had dogs most of my life, I was totally unprepared to deal with the anxious, reactive (though utterly sweet and comical) dog that is now part of my life. Thanks to Luke's knowledge and infinite patience with Honor and me, while we still have a long way to go, we have gained a lot of ground in calm, appropriate behavior and obedience. I expect we'll continue to call on Luke to help us work through issues as they arise.
