Our dog loves visiting Parks Veterinary. He is so well taken care of whether he is seeing one of the doctors or staying overnight. He loves the attention and great care he receives. It’s such a comfort knowing he’s in good hands when he visits Parks Veterinary.
I love the convenience of drop off appointments. Also the staff is wonderful and friendly. They take such good care of my baby Luna. She has allergies and skin infections. They explained options clearly. Thank you Parks for all you do ♥️

I have to leave this here and it is unfortunate that I have to. My dog was a patient here for 5 years. We spent upwards of $8k over those five years between boarding, emergency care, and all his other vet needs. The care I received under Dr. Hughes was nothing short of amazing. But Dr. Hughes has retired and left a group of vets that I can't trust. There was one younger male vet that I trusted but I would rarely get him. The female vet that was seeing my dog at the end was impersonable, rarely spent more than 30 seconds talking to me about my dogs problems, misdiagnosed him multiple times and sent him out with medication he didn't need, and was not able to give my dog any comfort at the end. When you call, you can rarely speak to anyone higher than a vet tech. I also left multiple times in a few month time span without the proper medication or the proper prescription. The staff said I had everything but then I would drive the 30 minutes home to find they didn't give me the right meds or the right prescription. They also refuse to collaborate with Chewy for prescriptions and require you to mail your own prescription to them. Big hassle. I wouldn't mind getting meds from them directly but most meds are more than 5x the price of chewy or Wallgreens. Four to five years ago, this was a five star operation. Now, you are lucky to get through to anyone when you call, and the vets on staff just are not to the caliber of Dr. Hughes. Overall, I am sad to have to find a new vet for my new dog but I just can't justify going back to this place with how it is running now. To top it all off, my dog died when I was away from town and was cremated out of town. I called the staff and let them know my dog had passed. I got no call, no letter, no nothing for condolences after five years of being a patient. The vet I took him to to be put down and cremated was his original vet in another state and they hadn't seen him in 8 years and even they wrote me an amazing card and so did my apartment complex. But not the vet that my dog had gone to for 5 years. It is a shame, but it is the truth. You lost a dedicated customer.

In addition, we would like to apologize for the experience you have had in not feeling cared for, as care is the highest priority we have at Parks. We would love the opportunity to address the concerns listed here and that is usually done best when we have specifics of who you are and who your pet is. So, please, reach out to us directly so we can help answer these concerns personally. However, a couple of things you posted should be addressed publicly. First, Dr. Hughes has not retired and is still helping to lead the great group of veterinarians we have here. There is not one veterinarian we have on our team who is not qualified in their practice of veterinary medicine or dedicated to our standard of “Creating a Culture of Care.” We believe we have some of the very best and brightest of our profession in the whole state! In addition, we are always trying to navigate the balance of providing the highest quality of medicine that we can while continuing to keep prices as low as we can. Finally, client communication is of utmost importance to us as we are dedicated to building strong, trusting relationships with our clients. It is clients like you who make our job of caring for our patients possible! Overall, we believe that Parks is leading the way in providing some of the best veterinary care in Nebraska and we will continue to strive for this as we move forward. With that being said, we also acknowledge that we are not perfect and always strive to rectify any concerns that we can. Our team will be evaluating your concerns and we will do our best to make sure our processes and procedures are shored up to minimize the communication and medication failures you referenced. We have legitimately ALWAYS had an amazing experience with Parks vet but this year especially during the 4th season. Fireworks are going on outside as I type this and my animals are wandering around eating like nothing is happening. It’s been the 1st 4th in over 2 years that my animals have been comfortable and if it was not for a team that knew my animals directly; this relief and quality of life would not have come so quickly!
